It appears my assessment of my allegiance were correct. As confusing as it might be to me, the dreams are at least allowing me to understand the consequences of actions in a way few people can say they experience. Anger and vengeance are a poison, and I will not let them cloud my mind like my counterpart has.

Thankfully I have completed my course for the year and will not return to school until the fall, thanks largely to a very generous scholarship allowing my completion of learning here in America.

As this is my first time having a summer break, I am looking for suggestions for things to do while I'm off school. What kinds of things to people do on summer break?

That's something? But yeah, it can be hard doing the optimism thing when dealing with terrorist groups or destroying the world. But its also possible to come out on the other side? Even if it's frustrating watching and being unable to tell at yourself in the dreams.

Basically. Were you always interested in science or was that one of those unexpected things in life moments?

Sometimes realism is all you can manage, and it's exceptionally close to pessimism in certain situations. Her anger is all directed as someone who, in my life, has been nothing but generous, patient and giving. I'm a little worried how the dreams will affect things.

I've always been smart, but never really had the chance to challenge myself. I attended an open day at the university and the sciences were the first professors to not treat me like I wouldn't understand things. And then I started to get involved in digging deeper. It's not something that would've been afforded to me without unexpected things, but I'm not sure it's good to call those things a given.

That I definitely understand. The realism close to pessimism thing that is. In mine, it was more...anger at humans in general. But yeah, that can be a concern but you also can remind yourself that it doesn't have to be the same if you don't let it. Which hey, easier said than done. But it doesn't have to influence things either. No matter how realistic shit gets, how the strong the feelings are, we have our lives here, the ones we control.

Huh. I kinda get that, school was never a thing for me just because of life. But the social work thing is similar in that I needed to focus on something for said anger, did an internship and it just...turned into a possible career and that it's essentially a work school program that's letting me even go to college. Go unexpected things leading to good opportunities for you though. Being treated like an actual person and that you can understand things goes a long way from just being judged and brushed aside.

Easier said than done is true, but I hope it can be done. I would hate to lose the friendship that's building. Reminding myself that's not who I am is a constant thing, but I hope that it's something that can stick.

Turning negative emotions into a positive outlet is good, and I'm sure your experience could benefit in some way, either for yourself or someone you might help. The opportunity to attend college is always something to be thankful for, given the expense of it all. A lot of people assumed the situation I came from meant I was stupid, or that I didn't understand because English is my second language.

Probably depends on the person. It seems that some people are more impacted by dream cross over emotions than others. But repeat it enough and you're good. And I'm sure there are plenty of people here who will be happy to remind you of that fact as well.

So I've been told and in some ways it does seem that way. But yeah, between not graduating high school and then the cost, the offer was a shock. And ah. Of course. Always with the snap judgments. Especially as if you can only understand something if you're a native English speaker. Pretty sure formulas and the like are universal. But hey, what do I know.

I hope so, otherwise I might have to become a shut in.

If you enjoy it, and it can help, it's good. And it's good when you can get the help, the people supporting you, that's what to focus on. They seem to like those, snap judgements. And you're right, the concepts are all universal, it's just how you communicate it.

Well fingers crossed and doing that hope thing.

That's the plan. And they really do. I get it all the time which is why I know it's bullshit. But exactly. Concepts are universal, they're just idiots to think it matters how you communicate it that means if you'll understand them or not. But small minded people are everywhere and think if you don't have the same life as them, then you're somehow less then.

This is very true, they are everywhere, and they do make these opinions based solely on their perceptions. I'm sorry you need to deal with that too. But the best thing to do is prove them wrong by succeeding.

Yay racism! But that's the plan because proving racist assholes wrong is a hobby. Who says that spite can't be a great motivator at times?

I think your hobby is going to become a full time career. So long as your spite never trips you up, I don't see why it would be a bad thing though.

Eh, I'm working on it. Besides, I only use my spite for good now. Like proving racist assholes wrong.
