By now, Sonya was being to have a rather love/hate relationship with hospitals. She loved them because of the doctors and nurses intentions and the work they did, but she hated being stuck like this. She hated the poking, the prodding, the constant questions-if it wasn't for the fact that she was trying to save her strength in recovering (and trying to keep her secret), she would've certainly blasted someone. Sonya tried to think positive: yes she was paralyzed, but at least she wasn't an amputee, and the rest of her injuries were relatively minor: second degree burns along the left side of her arm, neck and face and mended stab woulds from shrapnel in various places along her torso. She just wished she could move without the damned back brace, and that the newscasters could mind their own damn business.
Alice was in a chair right next to her bed, keeping her company before the official hours for visiting started, reading a magazine as Sonya watched some german language tv show. Sonya felt that the only thing keeping Alice from going on a killing spree was that the offenders were already dead, and couldn't be punished by her. It was just as well, Sonya wanted company more than vengeance.
She visibly let out a sigh of relief when a nurse came to tell her she had visitors.
ooc: Sonya's sitting up in a reclining bed. Her right arm's bandaged up and the left side of her face is red from second degree burns. The rest of her injuries aren't visible because of her t-shirt an the bed clothes. Either have the visitations be separate or chat with the other visitors. |

When Anna received a message from Henry, she wasn't really sure what to think. If it was good news he would've told her himself, or at the very least used a more personal means of communication other than a text. On the other hand, it didn't show any hints that it was especially distressing either.
She did feel guilty about not always keeping in contact with those from her century as much as she should've, but truthfully, she didn't want to. Keeping to herself was what kept her alive in Germany and at the English court, and such old habits were hard to break. Nonetheless, Henry had always been generous with her, especially after the divorce when he could've just as easily cut all ties with her. In those ways he was more a brother to her than William and therefor it was only right that she atleast hear what he had to say.
After placing her assistant in charge for the afternoon, Anna left her office and waited for Henry to arrive. She kept a quick eye out because there was the chance that he may be in disguise and she could almost laugh at the thought of Henry and his love of costumes: whereas before it was simply for fun, now it really was for the need to hide his celebrity. |

The delivery was quick, or so that's what they told her. When it was discovered that the epidural machine didn't work, the pain and need to push made time stand still, and all she focused on was pushing to get the baby out of her. At around 1 in the afternoon, January 10th, Daniel Blade Tsung was born at 6 pounds and 5 ounces and Sonya Blade felt like she'd just passed a bundle of knives from between her legs. It overshadowed the exhaustion and pain in her throat, and she felt disgusting because of the sheen of pain induced sweat that covered her.
When it was over, they patched her up and took the baby to clean up before wrapping him in a blanket and placing him in her arms. Finally able to see him an see that he was healthy, she couldn't help but smile, brushing a finger along his head of dark brown hair.
"Hey soldier. Not many moms can say this, but I know exactly how you feel right now." She said as she held him closer.

Jane had to admit that she felt a *little* bit uncomfortable with so much skin showing in the dress that Mindy had chosen for her. She was going to get eaten alive and that she often saw a steel behind Jane's demeanor. She told her that it was time to show the rest of that to the world.
High heels were not strangers to Jane, thankfully. Otherwise she would have broken an ankle in the teetery black stilettos that Mindy had slipped onto her feet. Her blonde hair was left loose and flowing in waves down her back and around her shoulders. Which Jane felt better about. It felt odd enough as it was to have so much skin bare, to have her back even moreso would have been unnerving. She glanced around, wondering just which direction Henry would be coming from. |

Henry was never a nervous man. He never had reason to be. Despite his illegitimacy, he still was the son of a King and his mother of noble blood. Yet he sat now, nervous as if he were meeting his father for the first time. Though, he could suppose, in a small way he was. While he had known Henry, been allowed at Court, this was the first time he'd met this version of his father. The first time that he'd seen his father in over four hundred years. It left a child, even a grown child, nervous as to what his father would think of him.
Especially once he told Henry of his secret.
He glanced up every time someone new approached as he waited near the maitre de's station. He tried to take a few deep breaths, even if lung was not truly necessary anymore, deep breaths had a calming affect still. He knew that if Vicki were here, she would be laughing at him for being so nervous. Something he never showed in front of the beautiful investigator.
