Who: Mary Tudor and Eustace Chapuys When: During Halloween plottiness, after this post. Where: Mary's flat What: Eustace is assisting Mary in his half-blind state since she can't keep clothes on. Warnings: Talk of nudity and nothing else I can think of, unless Eustace suddenly gets his sight back before she gets her clothes back. Or even if the candy makes them do things that they normally would do yet. We'll see! It IS Halloween plottiness :-D
( She was terrified to even go near a window... ) |

WHO: Mary Tudor and George Luz WHAT: much needed friend for Mary WHERE: some random park
While it was true that George barely made it through high school back home, as far as he was concerned he had every right to be: being part of a family with ten kids wasn't easy and in the Depression most kids tried to focus more on earning some extra money than school.
But here, George could actually get a proper education-or so he would if the semester was still in. Call him crazy, but he was still old fashioned enough to believe that summers were to be spent outside enjoying the weather-not inside buried in books. Especially since coming back from Bastigone, he was going to take advantage of the warm and sunny weather while he could.
He also got a dog. George had always wanted one as a boy, but with so many kids already his parents didn't want to waste food on one, but here he could adopt a dog of his own and not worry about the expenses of taking care of him.
That day found him in the park, playing frisbee with his new buddy Trigger 2 (he couldn't name him Trigger-that name was already taken by another great dog). |

who: Elizabeth and Mary Tudor Where: University at Cambridge, England What: two sisters catching up When: soon after this
Even though they were rivals as Elizabeth grew old, when she was a child, Mary was almost a mother to her. It was when she became queen and feared her position that Elizabeth's life was at risk.
How strange it was, that in this era, the roles were almost reversed. Elizabeth in her mid 30s and a well respected professor and Mary a young lady and a student herself.
She gave Mary the location of the closest portkey and directions where to meet her. Now, she was waiting besides one of the center buildings of the university, quite different from how the portraits artists portrayed her: she abandoned the wigs for her natural strawberry blonde hair and instead of gowns she wore a deep brown dress suit with a red brooch. The total effect was simple and yet still grand. |
