Entry tags:greg house, tesla spencer

Who: Tesla and House
Where: Wherever they allow visits, but with House being a doctor, I bet he could get them anywhere he wants.
When: Earlier today
Warnings: Nada, they is well behaved, ok?

Being led to see a visitor had become the same thing, a nurse holding her wist guiding her to the same, bland, empty room to sit down with Shawn or Gus, or both, talk about what the doctors wanted her to talk to them about, hug Shawn (bst as she could) smile at Gus and go back to her room toglare at the peppy cheerleader who still gagged herself and wondered why she'd been in there for six months. Six months, please, God, don't let them keep me in here for six months.

She was surprised to walk into the room and see House, an then a bit of dry worry plagued her, so instead of saying 'Hello', the first thing to pop ot of her mouth was. . ."He's not dead, is he?"

She eyeballed it, and decided that the fact that he was willing to share, was enough reason to be polite enough to nod, take it, and sip, before handing it back. "'s only molestation if she says no, Doc, and I flat out gave you permission." She winked playfully, sighing and easing back against the wall.

"It's so stupid, dumbest law ever invented, it's one thing to say 'old guys and ladies that rape little kids are bad and must go to jail', another to say 'anyone 18 having sex with anyone under 18 is raping them and should therefore go to jail', who is that protecting?" She shook her head. "And Shawn, he acts like he thinks I'm desperate to do it just because it's a risk or something, and I'm not. I've thought about it a lot and it still scares me to death, a little."

Greg nodded. "The law's bullshit. And, frankly, it's none of Shawn's business what you decide to do anymore. Between you and I, I still question his ability to make the most rational of decisions, every now and again. And something like sex-" He shrugged, taking another drink, "You've obviously thought about it. And the fact that you're scared shows you're being rational about it. So whatever it is you do decide, is going to be right, no matter how large a shit-fit Shawn or anyone else deicdes to throw over it." A beat, "But, look at it this way- he can't exactly throw a shit-fit over something he knows nothing about. The only people who have to know, are you and this 21-year-old of yours,"

Look at this, House giving reasonable advice. Something was obviously afoot with him- then again, she might not know him well enough to catch it. But at least she might get use out of his newfound wisdom

Tess nodded, debating on mentioning that the man in question was Mark' roommate, she decided it wasn't relevant, rather nodded some more. "God pretty much told me the same thing, except she was talking about love and junk, which I never brought up." The word certainly didn't give her the heebie jeebies like it did Shawn, but it wasn't one she was prepared to use yet.

It was odd in the sense of, Tess hadn't had a father growing up. It had been her and her Mom, and then one morning her Mo was gone and she got shoved into Shawn and Lassiter's home. Now, not only was she working to cop with having a brother and being his ward, but she had to cope with him being so emotionally stressed over his broken heart.

Bulimia had ben the breaking point.

"Lotta times I wish they'd stuck me in a foster home."

Greg scoffed a laugh at that. "I can't blame you. I have no idea how you live with the spaz," Smirking, he took another drink, doing his best to hide the fatherly tone in his next; "He's doing what he can. Lassiter leaving the first time fucked him up pretty bad, and this time... he's pretty much snapped. I- it's not a fucking excuse, but.. he needed something to obsess over, and unfortunately you got saddled with that. He does care, even if he has a really fucking odd way of showing it,"

"Don't see him a lot at home." She shrugged. "Since it happened he works as long as he can and stays out te doing God knows what, I've seen more of Gus than Shawn at home since Gus got here." She shrugged. "Way I see it, I graduate high school in two months, with the oher early graduation freaks, I'll pick a random major, go to college, and go from there. Shawn needs to work this out for himself, because I've tried to help and he pushes me away. I can't handle this crap, not all of it. Not dealing with my body and my boyfriend and school and work and my brother's issues with the L word. I can't even tell him I love him, House, he acts like I spit on him or something."

"It's probably for the best, considering what I see of him when he decides to talk to me," He just nodded along with the rest. "He's fucked up. At least you tried to help- even though I'm not sure anyone short of a professional could help him, right now. You're right, you need to focus on you."

She nodded, swallowing dryly, sighing deeply. "I just, I hate that he doesn't want to talk to me about it, or hear me say I love him. I hate that we're pretty much strangers. I always wanted a big brother growing up." She shrugged, finishing off the first of the cough drops, sighing. "Shit, I don't even know what I want to do with my life. Thye hate that here. 'What do you mean you don't know? What are you good at?'. Photographic memory doesn't do you much good unless you claim to be psychic and no one knows you aren't." She smiled dryly, running a hand through her hair.

Greg leaned back in the chair he'd slipped into, sighing and nodding. "Who the hell does what they think they want to at 17, anyway? When I was graduating high school, I wanted to be an archaeologist. And that was even before Indiana Jones made it sexy," He scoffed. "Just tell 'em you're gonna change your mind 50 times anyway, so why bother guessing? That should shut 'em up."

"Oh Indy's coming back too, only old, but that's aside the point." she cleared her throat and blushed a little. If there was ever doubt she was Shawn's younger sister before, that would have fixed it. "But um, yeah. Yeah, I guess. You'r right, I know it. I sort of. . had a couple idea, but, I mean nothing serious. So I just told them the one and they backed off." She shrugged. "I have the GPA to do anything. So I'm not worries. But anyhow." She really wanted to stop th heart to heart only because it was odd to have one. "How are things on your end, Doc?

"They've been better," He answered honestly, sighing as he leaned back to swivel the chair. "Ray's acting strange- I think he thinks I'm cheating on him, or something off the wall." He shrugged, "He'll break down and say something about it, eventually."

Tess looked amused at that but just nodded, not choosing to comment. "So long as it works out, that's what's important." Not that she had any expertise in that area. She eyed the scale in the corner and bit her lip, looking at the clock, sighing. "This is stupid, I gained back six pounds, I should be out of here."
