Darius bounced through the halls, glad to be seeing Ophelia again. He had a thermos full of hot chocolate, and had another surprise for her that he hoped she would like.

The nurse at the station smiled at him, and he greeted her by name. Darius was good at remembering names and faces.

He walked in a more dignified manner when he got to Ophelia's hallway, and tapped on her door frame before poking his head in. "Hey!"

He entered, looking a little sheepish, though he smiled brightly at her in return. "I'm glad to see you too, Ophelia."

He sat on a chair next to her, and pulled the thermos out of his messenger bag. "How have you been?" He poured some into the lid, the smell of rich chocolate filling the room. There was only the one cup that came with the thermos, so that was what he offered to her. "Be careful, it's hot."

The smell of the chocolate was not entirely unfamiliar, though she had never had this before. She sipped delicately.

"Oh, that's lovely." It warmed her all over and made her feel quite relaxed. "I have been very well. Ms. Torres and I have been talking and I think I shall be going to live in...the apartment I was living in before I...the woman I replaced...disappeared."

Ophelia tried not to think too much about who she really was. It got terribly confusing after a while.

	"I'm glad that you like it." He listened, nodding where it was appropriate. "That should be neat. Have you seen the apartment she lived in, yet?" She shook her head. "No...I still have not been out of this place. The doctors said I was free to try when I liked, however." She sipped her hot chocolate again.

"Do you...do you think you would be willing to show me around?" She smiled slightly. "I have seen pictures, I know what automobiles are and that there are very tall buildings...but I have never been there for real."

	"Yes." There was no hesitation at all. "It would be an honor to show you around. I took pictures of the area around here to show you, so I know a little bit of the area." He blushed a little. Ophelia beamed again. "You took pictures? That was good of you. And...thank you. I may be a little frightened and I want to get...accustomed to what I will see."

She is clad in clothing that Ms. Torres brought for her from the apartment, a long skirt and a sweater, with clogs, which were very much like the shoes that Ophelia had worn to garden back home. Ophelia wasn't sure she liked the clothing but figured that as long as she was decently covered, she would be all right.

	Darius thought she looked beautiful. The relaxed clothing suited her well. "I can show them to you, if you want." He pulled out his phone and flipped through the menu until he found the picture section. "Just press the arrows on the round button to scroll through." He showed her how to do this. "Yeah, but small is no indication of ability." He smiled softly. "I can read the forum with it, make phone calls, and it reminds me of things that I might otherwise forget. It's a useful little tool."

Her worry about the city mirrored his own take on them. "It's big, but everybody else feels just as small as you in it. I don't know why so many people scrunch together like this, but it's nice if you don't like to be alone."

"I suppose if we all feel small, then no one is truly small," she mused. "Ms. Torres said that she would help me to function as best she could. 	"Yes." She looked up at him. "You are a very good friend, Darius." She blushed. Honestly, she'd never looked upon men as friends before. 	Darius filled the paperwork out, his handwriting neat and precise. Then he offered his arm to Ophelia, and led her out into the street. It was fairly quiet, being the middle of the day, but there were still some people wandering around. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Ophelia took his arm, glad he seemed so solid. She felt she needed him to be her anchor. "The buildings are so much different than they are back home." Somehow, they don't look as sturdy--it seems by their looks that they'll come right down. She looked around herself, quite unmindful of being looked at as if she were a tourist.
