Darius bounced through the halls, glad to be seeing Ophelia again. He had a thermos full of hot chocolate, and had another surprise for her that he hoped she would like.

The nurse at the station smiled at him, and he greeted her by name. Darius was good at remembering names and faces.

He walked in a more dignified manner when he got to Ophelia's hallway, and tapped on her door frame before poking his head in. "Hey!"

	"I know. That will be hard to overcome, but you will be able to do so. You are smart and strong, and wonderful." He stroked between her shoulders, softly. "You can do this." 	"How do you have such confidence in me, when I do not have such in myself?" She sighed and looked up at him again. "I will try." After all, if she could not, there was no where else for her to go. "Because I grew up seeing the strength in others. You, Ophelia," he pulled back, so his eyes could meet hers, "have strength you don't even know about. You will find it, and it won't make everything better, it won't fix your life, but it will help you with the challenges that life brings you, it will keep you going when weaker people would just cease to care, and fade away into nothing."

He stroked her hair, softly. "Look at how well you're handling this. I wasn't a stranger to the idea of alternate universes, but I handled it much worse than you did."

In his own mind, at least. He'd just clung to anyone who resembled people he'd known back home, and was only know seekign independence.

	Ophelia closed her eyes. "If you see it, I'll try to believe that it's there." She did not think she was handling it well at all. All she was doing was depending on others for her strength...at least in her own mind. "I'm trying very hard." Sometimes the madness was so close she could stare into it. 	She nodded again, then slowly pulled away, blushing a little. "I am glad you've been here for me. It's helped me more than you know," she said softly. She looked around the room one more time. 	Her smile was beautiful. Possibly the best thing he'd seen all day. This was a good, if somewhat rocky, day. He was glad that she had decided to come here with him.
