It had always been a tradition that Murph and I would go out and buy or steal a bottle of Harp and pour it down into a river while standing on a bridge during Father's Day, hoping that da' would be thinking of us. Then when we finally had him with us, it was just going out and giving him a bottle (read six pack) of Harp instead.
I don't want to go back to the old one. I miss da'. |

Now I'm a PI, in a place called Arkham. I've got a ton of notes, as well as a big book of all of the witch hunter's notes. Apparently I'm related to the guy I was yesterday.
And this guy? Has a meeting scheduled with a guy in a place called Innsmouth. About a cult.
...I think this guy is stupid. He's walking into a clear trap with a total of one gun. If I don't show up, they'll probably assume I alerted the authorities and kill me, and if I do show up? They kill me.
Unless I bring backup. Anybody want to go on a field trip to this place? It's...probably going to be dangerous. There may be cultists and monsters.
And if you do come with, for the love of god, stay away from the beaches in this place. This is important. |

Sam's getting laid by his girlfriend - well, at all. And I've got a girlfriend.
Okay, you know what, Sam's got a girlfriend and it's time he knows it.
But seriously. Both of us haven't had a girlfriend at the same time since I was in eighth grade. And Sam's girlfriend still threw worms at him. Sammy, glad you got an upgrade.
But yes. Just letting you ladies know I'm off the market. I value my testicles too much to have my girlfriend rip them off with her fingernails. That, and then she'd probably yell at me about ruining a perfectly good manicure or something.
... so, these Jammie Dodger things are kind of fucking awesome. I think I might go buy a crate of 'em. |

As much as I enjoy the comforts of my new home and cats and a steady income and all that, I really, really can't let one thing go.
Our new priest's rather a fucking idiot. Really, you'd think the old man would know what the hell he's talking about if he's been a part of the fucking church for thirty-five years. I'd rather not switch where we go - We've been going to the same damn church since we were nineteen, Murphy and I have. I was rather happy to see that it still exists in this world. But lord, this guy's a regular fucking cunt.
Hell with it, I might just wind up giving Wolfwood's church a try, even if he's not Catholic. Might be more amusing, in any case. Especially if he's giving the sermons. That and Brooklyn's not so bad. Reminds me of home without the rotting fish smell.

So, Connor's off to work, even with his arm all fucked up. Wouldn't let me talk him out of it, says he'll just get bored if he has to stay home any more. And I'm not at work today, hate it when they off-set our schedules.
Of course, keeps me from fretting at him, just leaves me worried that he's not going to take it easy like he should and go making it worse.
Anybody want to go get a drink or something so I'll stop thinking about it? |
