So. It's July, and I have yet to have a reason to hit the beach. Back home I'd have gone to Coney Island at least, probably Chesapeake Bay too, maybe even headed out to the other coast for the purely California beaches.
Uh, I guess this is my way of saying: 'hey, anybody want to hit the sand?' |

Okay, setting the recycle oil collection bin on fire to keep the hordes of shambling undead at bay wasn't the best idea ever, but it worked, and we managed to get the restaurant closed up before any of them could get in.
Good a place as any to wait out a siege, really. |

So I figure this is a good place to look, I know this place drags in all sorts, just wondering if there's any other fire-slingers who might want to get together for fireball hackey sack or something. I was part of a sort of informal juggling club back home and don't want to fall out of practice, and that kind of thing's more fun with a group. |

Ugh, I just had this horrible nightmare about this fishmonsterthing that had a long tongue made of barbedhooks and acid that licked off your skin, so it flayed you to death. The only way to avoid it doing that was to ignore it, but it's hard to ignore a thing gumming your ankle with pain. I had to watch everyone I care about get eaten, and I'm still upset, and I feel really stupid.
And now I can't sleep.
Awesome.
I hope this doesn't have anything to do with tomorrow and Mom. |

Apparently it's National Librarian Day. Don't know if it's International Librarian Day, but it's an arbitrary holiday anyway, so it should be International.
In any case, I'm celebrating, who wants to go to dinner? |

Oh, for goodness' sake. No, seriously.. what the Hell? This isn't my home. It should be Costa Verde, not Los Angeles. This can't be right. It can't be. Unless I have an ability, which I doubt, I couldn't have just teleported here. I know others can do that. But not me.
Oh well, maybe I should tell who I am before I spaz out any further. My name is Lyle Bennet. I have a sister and two parents. Well.. they aren't together right now, but that's beside the point. I should not be here. I have soccer practice. And tae kwon do lessons later tonight. |

So far I like the new universe, except that I replaced a waiter. Thought I was done with this after college.
I am, however, the only waiter with a certified Grimoire though, so that's a plus. Good for winning bar bets. |

Well that was weird. And now I've got to do more repairwork on this book, and without my tools. That's just fan-fucking-tastic.
Don't suppose anyone knows what the hell just pulled me out of my workshop in DC and out into the middle of London, do you? |
