So, I know a few of you from school know that I moved, but I don't know that I ever said where.
It's Alaska, and I really like it here. I never really liked the cold before, but it's ... I don't know, it's different now, maybe because I know I can always go back inside and have some cocoa or a grilled cheese or something if I need it.
I ran out of books again, anybody have some suggestions? |

So, for anyone who was worried: I am not a mathematical genius. I'm okay at it, mostly thanks to measuring for cooking and stuff, but not like, scary-numbers-brain-guy.
Two days in, haven't felt paranoid about it yet. Might kick in the end of the week though, I'll find out I guess. |

I start school on Monday. I'm not freaking out right now, and I don't think I'll be freaking out then, but I don't really know. It helps knowing that if anything goes wrong I can just leave, never had that as an option before, and I've got a friend there, that helps too.
I'm still not sure if this is a good idea, or if I'm making the right decision, but I also think that uncertainty means that I am.
Any advice? |

Really all I want to know is: what do you like about the place? What don't you like? I'm kind of new to the whole 'school' thing, so any advice etc. that you have would be great. |

So, um, I have a lot of free time on my hands, and a fairly readily-available supply of books. Anybody have suggestions to good books to read? I'm not really picky, I'll read pretty much anything, fantasy, sci-fi, textbooks, Better Homes and Gardens, instruction manuals, so don't worry about something being too weird or out of my league or whatever.
Basically I just like having all the information I can, call it a hobby, call it paranoia, call it whatever you like, really. |

So, uh, to anybody I may have worried the other day, I'm doing fine, settling in well thanks to Navi and her daring rescue. So, you can stop worrying or whatever.
I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the place, not doing too bad at it I don't think, still not sure, haven't had a lot of time to really sit down and work things out.
So, that's where you people come in, if you want: what are some crazy things that people maybe take for granted around here that would freak everybody out thinking the world had gone crazy if it was happening back home? |

So... this is weird. I'm not used to having a computer that reads me things itself, sounds more like the robot voice on the phone that tells the time, but it's something even though I'm used to Gazzy doing it, he does the voices.
Anyway, rambling, I'm Iggy, and I'm... kind of lost. I'm starting to think I hit my head, or maybe I'm finally coming unraveled. This isn't my room, not any of the ones I've had, it's ... somewhere else, and it's quiet here, I mean, there's other people around, but it's like being in a church or a hospital or something, it's too quiet.
