to those interested,
I can certainly say that The Snake Pit in New Orleans is worth the trip. The fact that it's an underground bar means there's less of a chance to encounter annoying tourists.
Be advised though, if the belly dancers see that you're just a little too plastered, they'll have you dance on stage with them. Am proud to say that I wasn't one of those poor saps though, you don't spend eight years in the military to not know that it's never a good idea to be the first to get too wasted.
