So it seems that whoever I have replaced here is hired muscle. It's nothing I don't know how to do, it seems, so I don't see any reason not to continue, I can still follow the principles of the Brotherhood even here while living through ancient history, perhaps plant the seeds for what it will become, which is strange to think of by itself.

This world seems to be that way though, strange. I'm learning, the monks always said I was good at learning, that I absorb whatever's being taught like a dry sponge absorbs water. I like to think it's the reason my mother left me on their steps. It's certainly the way that I learn to help those around me.

Miss Yamamura, thank you for your help yesterday, I've already begun to learn my way around the city, don't think I really could have managed without your assistance.

Exactly, there isn't as much here as there was where I'm from, but what there is makes up for it.

Showers with real water for one.

... you had fake water?

Oh the water was real enough, but it's always been recycled so many times that it might as well be fake.

Ewwwwwww.

YOU SHOULD GO TO THE OCEAN.

... I hadn't even thought that the oceans would still be here.

I should do that.

They're beautiful. Saltier than the ones I'm used to, but so pretty.

Some worlds have oceans where I'm from, but they're few and far between.

And these... these are the original oceans, birthplace of us all.

That far in the future, huh.

Far enough that we call this planet 'Earth-that-was'

I'm not from here, but it's sad that it has to end sometime.

It gets used up, too many people, not enough space to grow. So we spread out, terraformed other planets, other moons and moved on.

Don't be sad. Maybe you can help somehow.

I think I'll do what I can, since even that is a few hundred years off from now.

That's a good way to look at things Miss Navi. Is that what you teach the people you watch out for?

Of course. It's what I teach my kids at the school too - I'm a teacher now. And just Navi!

Good! Every world could use more teachers with a lesson like that.

I'm Link's fairy, but I can be one of your people. That'd be nice. I haven't been a people long.

Sounds fair. I need more people I think, even if they haven't been people very long.

Well that's better than still crashing into things.

I'd guess that having a human body takes some getting used to. I mean, most humans don't master it even by the time they're middle-aged.
