So it seems that whoever I have replaced here is hired muscle. It's nothing I don't know how to do, it seems, so I don't see any reason not to continue, I can still follow the principles of the Brotherhood even here while living through ancient history, perhaps plant the seeds for what it will become, which is strange to think of by itself.

This world seems to be that way though, strange. I'm learning, the monks always said I was good at learning, that I absorb whatever's being taught like a dry sponge absorbs water. I like to think it's the reason my mother left me on their steps. It's certainly the way that I learn to help those around me.

Miss Yamamura, thank you for your help yesterday, I've already begun to learn my way around the city, don't think I really could have managed without your assistance.

Well that's better than still crashing into things.

I'd guess that having a human body takes some getting used to. I mean, most humans don't master it even by the time they're middle-aged.

And I used to be able to sleep on Link's head under his hat. I was itty bitty. I'M SO BIG NOW.

That's quite a change, I can see how that would take some time to get used to.

I'll get it! Slowly but surely, right?

Exactly, only way to learn anything.

So, what else does being a shepherd mean? What else do you have to do?

Protect those who can't protect themselves, comfort those who need it. That's... really all of it, besides the daily prayers, same as any other monk.

Oh! Like Impa! She was a sage and protected Zelda. I know that makes no sense, but monks are good people.

Most of us are. Yes. Met a couple sages in my travels, and a seer, different kinds of Shepherds, different versions of the book, same general principle.

You'd have liked Impa, even though she wasn't as nice as you. She was kind of scary.

I can be pretty scary too, if I have to.

Oh, don't worry, I know lots of adorable things that are really good at the kicking and the punching. I'm not so bad at hurting stuff myself - you should've seen me when there were zombies!

Zombies? This isn't something I've heard of before. They're dangerous I take it?

Dead people who still move. I'm a really good shot, and I can fly, so yeah. Rocks through the head!

... they sound remarkably like Reavers, only... dead first.

I had no idea Earth-that-was was so interesting.

Anything called a Reaver sounds bad.

I didn't either, but I didn't even know it existed.

They are. Folk say they're men who reached the edge of space, stared into the dark, and the dark stared back.

Killing folk is the nicest thing they do.

They're worse than zombies, then. I'm sorry.

Haven't met any myself, and thankful for that, since I probably wouldn't be here to tell you so if I had. Just heard the stories, that's more than enough.

I don't think there's a way any of them could get here. But you never know.

I appreciate the help Navi.
