So, now that Finbar had efficiently shut up Lynch by making him think he’d been added to a matchmaking service, it was time to do some proper work along the lines of cheering up the miserable sod. The man really needed to get out of his head for bit. A beer was in order, and if Lisa was working tonight – which she probably was – Finbar would introduce the two of them, if for no other reason than Aidan needed to know the pretty barmaid and understand that being on her good side had its benefits.

Sauntering up to the bar, he took his time looking to see who was there, nodding in greeting to a few he knew and smiling at those he didn’t know, though they still waved at him. With a small wave of his hand, he signalled that he was ready to order. He could always order another one, once Old Man Lynch bothered to get his carcass relocated here.

Well then, last night's field work was a bust, of course I can't and won't go into detail. The Security wizards I'm working with on this latest project, though, are exceptional, I must say. I'm back in Settlement One for the week, and will most likely be "burning the midnight oil" (to quote my mother's muggle parents) all week at the Command Center if anyone might like to bring me take out (hint, hint, housemate Lisa).

Greetings, I am Rowena Ravenclaw. It appears that rather many individuals from the magical community may know of me. I look forward to meeting many of you in due course.

The land to which I have been brought by this unknown magic is most unusual. The climate is so unlike the one I know in fair Scotland, and it seems unlikely that we will experience the cold snows and bitter winds of my former life. Nor do I understand the closeness and relative harmony in which the Muggle and Wizarding communities live together. I am so accustomed to hiding my magic from anyone unknown, and often secreting myself away from Muggles that I am most unsettled here. This existence will take quite some acclimatisation.

I am told that this device allows others to read my thoughts if I do not mark them private, and so I would appreciate anybody who may be able to help me make alterations to my new home making themselves known to me. The changes which I wish to make are well within my grasp, but a second pair of hands would be much appreciated for additional power and stabilisation of the spellwork. A strong familiarity with charms and transfiguration would be appreciated, particularly if any individual has knowledge of construction work.

Last time I did this I had three sets of hands to assist me.

Truly I do not understand why none of the houses which I was shown plans for have the common decency to have separate rooms for separate functions. Whilst I am used to large rooms at Hogwarts those rooms were at least restricted to specific uses.

Also I do not know what use others have found for the spaces intended for muggle transportation (which I also do not understand), but I have much hope for research space or something similar in my own.

Does anyone know where I might purchase honeywine, or if it is available at all in this place? I find myself missing it.

Duke just took me on a walk that felt like much more of a run, so my day off has definitely started as it will go on.

My main task for the day is to clean out the garage space, which I've honestly never used for anything other than storage since I moved in. Once that's done, it should be perfect for an office space, especially as an old friend from the Ministry is going to help me put up an enchanted window. Merlin knows I can't let Dempster's books take over the house!

Then, I need to get alterations made to a certain dress. Which is maybe just a little more exciting than an office. But they're both very good things, obviously.

If I end up at the World's End for dinner tonight, this is why!

Gin, how's your schedule on Four look this week? I'd love to see you again. I'm pretty sure my distinct lack of pleasure in having to leave in the morning said it all, but the other night was spectacular and you look lovely in the morning light.

I hope I'm not being presumptuous. Of course, I could always just wait until I pop over with the new potions for the Clinic but that might be another week or so, and who wants to wait that long?
