Subject: A Visit To A Client
Where: The London Streets and Lord Mountford-Miles' city residence

Open to: Lord Eward, whoever else Harry might meet and converse with on the way

Harry enjoyed mornings. True, he had been delayed at Marguerite York's home for several hours and had missed the early morning rush of tradesmen, market-stall owners, cart-drivers, pickpockets and burglars heading home, but the streets were still busy enough. One or two even gave him a nod as he walked past, and he returned it, placing each of those who greeted him in the social map in his head. Fred Jenkins, gambler; Robert Ewing, debtor; Sarah Bristol, two-penny girl...
And then he filed it all away and walked on, hands in his pockets, enjoying this walk through the cobbled and dirt-track streets.It wasn't more than twenty minutes walk, once he'd crossed one of the Ramsgate Bridge, and with his thoughts on the prospects of another job, and the pretty young widow he had danced with the night before. Lyttelton, that was her name. Pretty thing. He'd have to arrange to bump into her again at some point. And there he was, at the door of Eward's house. He lifted his hand to knock, and then had second thoughts. Why bother the staff from tending their master's delicate head? He could let himself in. And he did, moving through the garden of the house, finding himself an open window that led into the scullery, climbing through, and then calmly walking through the kitchens and servant's quarters tell he found himself in a rich, over-decorated hallway.

"Eward!" He called, "You drunk, where are you?"

	"I can maybe think of two," she says, her smile widening as his gaze finally moves away. "Unfortunately, they don't seem to look twice at me more often than not. Ah, well. Perhaps, in time." She watches as he sets the flowers down, tilting her head as she considers the vase. "Yes. Yes, I think that's perfect. Thank you, love." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"I think they look at you more often than you realise." Harry says, turning the vase a degree more, so that the light from the window hits the petals, making the droplets of water on them shine.

He nods, dusting off his hands, and glancing around the room again, "I have to wait you have a very nice room, Abigail. Much nicer than your brothers." He grins, "I've been in jail cells nicer than Eward's room..."

"Do you really think so?" she asks, moving to stand beside him, one hand coming up to gently caress one of the roses. "I like to think that I'm a fairly observant person, and I have yet to think one of them- oh, never mind. I'm just being foolish again."

She turns with a smile, then winces slightly as she pricks her finger on a thorn. "Thank you," she says, bringing her hand up to gently suck on her finger for a moment. Dropping her hand back to her side, she looks up at Harry with a grin. "Yes, well, no matter how many times I tell him we can make the place look decent, he just refuses to let us do anything with it."

"Perhaps they are just well disguised?" Harry smiles, shrugging slightly. "They could be anyone at all. Perhaps one is a foreign prince, hiding here as a kitchen boy, waiting for his moment to sweep you off your feet?"

"Give me your hand, let me see." He says, noticing the drop of bright red blood that forms on her finger, pulling his handkerchief from his pocket, "Blood is bad for the constitution." He parrots, mocking one of the doctors he had once met. "You're lucky I don't have any leeches with me."

He shakes his head at the mention of Eward's stubbornness. "It's hardly his fault, Abigail. He can't help the fact he likes to live in a dark, dingy, and dirty room. Personally, I think it suits him." He teases. Picking on Edith was one thing, but normally both sisters wouldn't hear a word against Eward.

"Perhaps. It would be nice if they'd make themselves known every once in a while," she says, lifting her shoulder in a shrug of her own.

She scrunches up her nose, but holds her hand out for him anyways. "I don't like leeches. Nasty, wretched things they are. I'm glad you don't have any with you. She smiles faintly as he takes her hand, and she takes a step closer to him.

"Oh, I know," she says, smiling a bit. "I just wish sometimes that he'd let us brighten it up a little. That much darkness can't be good for anybody, can it?"

"I don't like leeches much either. Horrible things." He agrees, smiling slightly, before pressing the handkerchief to her finger. "And, tell you truth, I wouldn't let one near me, even I were dying." He shrugs, pulling the handkerchief from her finger, and nodding at it, "Much better. Can't be bleeding all over your present, can you?"

"I don't know. It doesn't seem to have done Eward much harm. But of course, we say that as those who love him most." He grins, obviously implying something else.

"Now, this present. Sit down, and you can have it before breakfast." He says, aware of its weight in his inside pocket.

"I'll be sure to keep that in mind to tell the doctor, if I'm ever around and you're in the process of dying," she replies with a laugh. "Thank you. And no, it is never good form to bleed all over a present!"

"Of course we do," she says, her smile widening as she looks back to Harry. "No, I suppose you're right. It hasn't done too much harm-- I don't imagine I'd want him any other way."

She brightens at the mention of a present, and she moves over to perch on the edge of her bed. Scooting over a little, she pats the bed beside her, motioning for Harry to have a seat on the bed next to her.

"My dear Abigail. You should know better than that- I, for one, am never, ever doing to die." He informs her as he steps towards the bed to sit next to her, tapping her lightly on the tip of her nose. "So there is no need to worry, or to inform a doctor. They're an expensive luxury they dying don't need, anyway."

Harry smiles. "There we are then. We all love your brother, rogue that he is, no matter if he lives in a hovel or not. Although, a word of advice- next time he goes out, get the maids to open the curtains, if only for half an hour."

He sit then, and opens his jacket, reaching into the inner pocket, and drawing out a velvet black draw-string bag. "I thought you, of all the women in the world, would suit this the most." He explains, opening the bag carefully, and easing out the diamond chocker, the thin necklace glittering in the light of the room.

Abby giggles softly as he taps her nose, nodding. "Well that certainly is a comfort to me," she says. "As I have grown quite fond of you over the years and would be terribly distraught if you were to die on me."

"I will be sure to do that. I may even go in there myself, but that just depends on how daring I feel."

She turns toward him as he takes a set beside her. Her smile widens as he pulls out the choker, and she slowly reaches a hand out to touch it. "Oh, Harry, it's beautiful! I love it. Thank you!" She isn't wearing any necklace at the moment, so she turns her back to him and lifts her hair. "Would you put it on me, please?"

Once that is done, she turns back to him and throws her arms around him in a hug, kissing him briefly on the lips.

"Die on you?" Harry replies, unable not to smile, "My dear, that is far too forward. Never give old men inappropriate ideas!" He jokes.

He nods at her request though, letting her half-turn on the bed and admiring her pale skin and the shape of her body, exposed now she lifts her arms to move her hair. "Diamonds are only beautiful on a beautiful woman." He tells her as he carefully fastens the chocker at the back, fingers brushing over her warm flesh in a movement that might have been accidental. "And you are exquisitely beautiful."

He can't hid the surprise at the kiss though, his own arms moving around her waist as he attempts not to over-balance.

"Oh, you are not old," she insists, shaking her head. She blushes as he compliments her and a shiver runs down her back as his fingers brush her skin. Her face warms in a faint blush that she tries to calm as she turns back to him.

And then his arms are around her waist. Granted, she has initiated the kiss, but she had only meant to keep it short, as a sort of thank you. But she finds that she likes how it feels and she kisses him again, letting it linger for a moment before she pulls back just enough to smile at him.

	He smiles back, the second kiss leaving him unable to speak or think much for another few seconds. "Abigail, really, what would your brother say?" Harry seems to give this a moments thought. "I think that might be the best way..." He smiles, fingers continuing to stroke through her hair, before kissing her back, fingers closing in her hair to hold her still. It lasts for a few moments before he breaks the kiss and pulls away, other hand having moved to her knee, stroking through the fabric of her dress. "Something like that?"

	Her hand moves to rest at his cheek as they kiss, then slides to rest lightly at his shoulder, smiling as he pulls back. "Something like that," she agrees. She likes that. Scooting closer, she leans up to kiss him, fingers bunching in the shoulder of his jacket as she almost hesitantly deepens the kiss, just trying to see how far he'd let her go. Harry smiles, hand sliding a little higher up her leg, enjoying the kiss and letting her deepen it, his other hand sliding down from her hair, down her spine. Used to whores and easy women, it wasn't a matter of how far he would go, but how far he could go before his brain's good sense interrupted his body's lusts.

And it didn't yet, which gave him the opportunity to use his body to push her down onto the bed, hand moving to rest on her thigh, other resting on the quilt just past her shoulder, effectively pinning her down.

	He pauses then, leaning down to brush his lips over hers, before kissing her hard, hand running up from her thigh, over her abdomen and slowing over her breasts, before breaking the kiss again, hand still lingering.
