"Perhaps. It would be nice if they'd make themselves known every once in a while," she says, lifting her shoulder in a shrug of her own.
She scrunches up her nose, but holds her hand out for him anyways. "I don't like leeches. Nasty, wretched things they are. I'm glad you don't have any with you. She smiles faintly as he takes her hand, and she takes a step closer to him.
"Oh, I know," she says, smiling a bit. "I just wish sometimes that he'd let us brighten it up a little. That much darkness can't be good for anybody, can it?"
