I am officially calling an All Clear after our security breach identified on 30 June.

Peter Pettigrew has been removed from all wards and all Order business. He will not pose a threat to us in the future.

Individuals directly compromised in the breach have been informed of the extent. Should anyone have further questions or concerns, please reach out to me or Alastor Moody.

Fabian and I have returned from our camping holiday in darkest South Wales. A bit of spelunking, a bit of getting away from it all, a bit of hiking, and a lot of ancient woodlands and picturesque ruins.

Even a few of the Welsh were there, if you can believe it!

What did we miss?

Fabian and I have found that our improvised method of map-dowsing was successful. It allowed us to locate Bangor Tewdws, which, when we announce the finding, will be the foremost discovery of magical archaeology of the 21st century. You may need to give us endowed chairs in archaeology and establish Hogwarts' claim to the site through us to keep it from getting ruined. Fabian will probably want to negotiate terms with you.

On a very practical note, the method we've got will be ideal for finding the horcruxes, but we'll need three things.
1: a related artifact to use as the dowsing focus
2: a large scale map
3: a high-ceilinged greatroom in which to spread the map.

Can we ask you for the loan of the Hogwarts commons and the Sword of Godric Griffyndor? We will give them back when we're done.

[SECURE MESSAGE TO CLAIRE ROOKWOOD]

Ms Ollivander,

I am in need of your discretion and expertise to assist on a project. Due to the nature, I am unable to disclose further details at this time. I would like for us to arrange a time to meet and should you agree, I will need you to begin this work directly there after.

Sometime after 4pm, each Order member* will get a discrete patronus from McGonagal with the following message:

"We have been compromised. Communication black out until all clear. Safe houses to be evacuated and relocated."

The general guidelines for the black out are:

No official group communications,

Recommend against group wards

No meetings

Members would have a secure system to communicate with McGonagall and Moody as needed

Members are discouraged from speaking about Order business with others

Individuals would have their own safety plans/contingency plans, which allows individual players to decide what it looks like for their characters

Despite lack of official communication between members, by July 5 it would be fair for most Order Members to assume/know that the Marauders are somehow involved in the compromise. (Given context ahead of time, it is very appropriate for the Prewett Twins and Florrie to put the pieces as soon as message goes out.)


*NB: Remus, Peter, and Sirius will not receive these messages. Order supporters may be notified at the discretion of their Order contact.
