Who: Reed and Lori (Neptune and Nyx)
When: Saturday, March 3, 2012 | early evening
Where: their apartment
What: post-moving drinking!

Moving was hell. Reed hadn't been in New York all that long, but he remembered now one of the worst parts about the city. It sucked carrying heavy shit down stairs, driving a big moving van through traffic, and dragging heavy shit back up stairs. Not to mention the unpacking. He didn't do much of that once he'd gotten everything into Lori's apartment. Wait, his apartment. Yeah, this was home now.

Neptune apparently disliked hard labor, so he stayed out of the way while Reed worked. But once that was done, the god took interest in his new surroundings. They met his high standards. Lori met the god's standards as well, and Reed had to mentally chastise Neptune for wanting to leer at her.

"Alright, I don't work tomorrow.. you don't work tonight," he started as he flopped down on the sofa he'd brought, which was bigger and more comfortable than the tub Lori owned. "That means you and me are watching Big Bang Theory on Netflix and drinking. Sound good? Oh, and popcorn. It goes surprisingly well with alcohol. Beer especially, though I'm not opposed to mixing it with whiskey. Or painkillers." Shit, he was in good shape, but furniture was HEAVY!

Who: Reed and Wes (Neptune and Hermes)
When: Friday, March 2, 2012 | night
Where: the lab
What: an unannounced visit

After the trip to the antique shop and meeting with Lydia, Neptune surrendered control to his host. Reed was out of sorts and still thinking about part of his conversation with Lydia. She seemed to think his weapon was a bad idea. Was it? Would he live to regret his creation if it succeeded? He couldn't be sure. He also didn't know if he could trust Ian Ward, and too much had been going on in Reed's life to investigate the guy and his company the way Reed had said he would.

With that in mind, he headed to campus rather than his apartment to pack some more. He needed some time in the lab. It was where he did most of his thinking, and this required a lot of thought. Plus, maybe tinkering with the railgun would help him decide if he should actually finish it.

Being a Friday night, the lab was empty. All of Reed's students were out doing what students did best: getting drunk. He didn't think it wise to drink while working with dangerous equipment, so Reed was sober, but he was sure that would not be the case when he eventually returned to his apartment.

Sitting on a high stool at his primary work desk, he messed with some equations on his tablet, tweaking them to see if he might find a solution to the weapon's primary problem: it was a one time use. The projectile did too much damage. "Fuck," he said with a sigh and put his head down on the desk.
