Terence usually didn't do this formal, typical type of dating. It was tricky, almost a game, and somewhat unnecessary, he felt. Usually, when he was after the company of a woman, he'd find an attractive one in a bar after work, and occupy his evening with seducing her. When that didn't go well, he just erased her memory, no harm done to any party. But now, Janelle was forcing him to take her out on a traditional date. Maybe he had told her that she deserved something in payment for being a good dinner hostess, but Terence had put making good on that promise on the end of his to-do list, situated just above charming his boss's bollocks to sing.
Here and now, though, he put on his best charming smile and knocked on her door. Janelle was a rather uncomplicated girl, Terence thought. She had a pretty face, a body that he wouldn't mind getting his hands on, and she had all the right familial connections. He didn't think that taking her out tonight would be too big of an issue, especially if she meant anything by those teasing smiles she'd given him a few nights ago. The only complication that soured his mood was the dent that this dinner would undoubtedly put in his wallet; damn women and their obsession with fancy dinner dates.
