Terence nearly made a comment about women in the workplace, but he kept the thought to himself. Prattling on about how women should concern themselves with activities better suited for their gender probably wasn't going to get him anywhere with Janelle, so he simply smiled at her.
He helped her replace her cover on her shoulders before his hands moved down her sides to wrap around her waist. "If I didn't know any better, Miss Dorny, I'd say that you seem very eager to get me out of public," Terence whispered, his breath warm against her ear. He squeezed her tightly against him, and they were back in her flat.
"Which dessert would you like to try first?" Terence asked once they had both steadied themselves. His hands lingered at her waist as he asked the question. He hadn't really thought about her since her dinner, but she did feel good against him.
