James was sitting on the roof of the building staring out across the city toward the forest. This had been happening a lot, lately. Ever since the lightning storm. Normally he enjoyed spending time with the twins but lately there was too much noise. Their laughter was no longer enjoyable. He craved the silence that he got up on that roof. The only other time he felt calm was in the forest. He could feel the life in them. The energy from them. At night, though, he stayed away from the forest because of the predators. While he could take care of himself, it was safer to stay in the city at night. So he sat on the roof and closed his eyes, just enjoying the solace.

Once her pants were off, he kissed his way back up to her lips, hooking his arm under one of her legs as he went and lifting it up. He kissed her passionately as he slid into her, moaning into the kiss. He started thrusting immediately, hard and fast, trying to sate the need he felt.

Laura arched up away from the the floor beneath her. Giving way to any purchase she might have had. Her hands found his shoulders, fingers tracing the lines in the left.

He kissed her hungrily as he moved on top of her, his hands roaming her body. He'd never felt anything like it. Everything tingled and sang. The world around them grew completely silent, only the sounds they made could be heard. It was as if they were in their own little bubble.

Not having to work to hear only him made it easier for their sounds to ampliphy. Driving her just that much quicker. She was able to focus on his scent. How the musk of his arousal drove her own.

He knew he wouldn't be able to last much longer, though he wanted to. It was all so much and everything felt so good. He broke the kiss and looked into her eyes as he started to move even faster.

Being surrounded by only him, his scent, his sounds, his taste, her lips remained slightly parted so that her Jacobson's organ worked with the musk. She wasn't sure she would be able to hold on much longer. It was a fight to keep her eyes open. And even that was driving her senses into overdrive.

James continued to kiss her even though his movements stopped. He felt as if he couldn't get enough. He broke the kiss and looked into her eyes for a moment. He started to say something but instead chose to kiss her again, with more tenderness than usual.

When he pulled back to look into her eyes, she offered a little smile. And easily enough melted into the tender kiss, her fingers trailing through his hair.

He lifted up and looked into her eyes again, just staring as if searching her soul. "I don't need to go anymore." His voice was almost a whisper.

Laura tried to keep her eyes with his, she had no fear of what he'd see in her eyes. But when he whispered he didn't need to go anymore she couldn't help but smile. In fact she bit her lower lip, and looked down between them, almost bashful. "I'm glad." She whispered.

He smiled, kissing her once more before he rolled onto his back, staring up at the stars. He took her hand in his, lacing their fingers together and bringing it to his lips. "You are quite beautiful, Laura."

She rolled onto her side, keeping their fingers laced. "You are too. I enjoy admiring it quite often." Especially lately. Not since he'd been struck, but since he'd become a bunny the first time for the twins.

Laura laughed softly. "It is likely that I would. I really like that you are right now." Her smile turned a little impish and she shifted a little more onto her side. "Would you have me the same way?"

He kissed her again. "I think we should wait until things are back to normal. Or as normal as they can be around here." He made a face. "I want to spend time with the twins before we do that, though."

Laura nodded. "I would not dream of sending them away as soon as you feel better." It meant so much to her that he and the twins got on as well as they did.

"I want to make sure they understand that I do....care so much for them." He nodded. "I would do anything to make them happy." He hated that whatever this was kept him from enjoying his time with them.

"I'm sure they know. They have not voiced any fears. They love you. I do not think you could do any wrong in their eyes." Laura trailed her fingers along his jaw. She could see why they did, it was clear that he loved them as well.

"That is both comforting and slightly disturbing at the same time." He laughed softly. There were so many things that he'd done wrong in his life, so many people he'd hurt. None of that mattered to the twins, though. They trusted him to keep them safe. He reached up and caught Laura's hand, kissing her palm softly before looking into her eyes again. "They're not the only ones that hold my affection, though."
