Who: Everyone
What: PARTY
Where: One of the particularly fancy hotels in Wheel 1
When:Friday night, starting around dinner time
OPEN/Multiple threads/tag warnings on your threads as needed

The lobby of the hotel is mostly unchanged, other than the furniture all being pushed to the edges of the space to make an impromptu dance floor. There's a small stage set-up on one side, during the first half of the night there is just a computer there, it's set to auto-play a variety of music but there is also the option for guests to play a specific song jukebox style.

One another side of the room there are food and (non-alcoholic) drinks set up. Everything is catered from through the door and it's mostly finger foods, appetizers, and small tapas-style plates, everything kept warm on electric warmers. It's enough for a meal if someone wants to sit down or they're all easy enough to graze on through the night. The drink station here is all non-alcoholic and features waters, sodas, and a few custom punch mixes.

Separated from the main food/drink setup is a bar table. It is well stocked with basically an entire bar's worth of liquor, various mixers, fruits, and garnishes. There is a mixed punch here too, this one spiked.

About an hour after most people arrive, Richie and Eddie will start gathering up anyone close to them and directing them into a smaller meeting room off of the lobby. Once in there they'll find what is basically a small wedding setup, rows of chairs lined up with a small altar at the front. (The doors to this room won't be shut at any point, so even people who aren't close to Richie and Eddie would be able to see or sit in if they come across it) Richie and Eddie will renew their vows in a small ceremony led by Loki before leading everyone back out to rejoin the party.

Once they get back, the "DJ station" will be pushed off to one side of the stage and a karaoke machine will take front-and-center. The food tables will be condensed and one replaced by a dessert table, featuring a cake, a couple of pies, and a candy buffet.

The food tables would be taken in once most of it was gone, and Richie and Eddie would wander off sometime after midnight, but the rest would be left in place as long as people want to stay.

"In... Dia.." He would nod, seeming to understand that concept. "Oh, like the Dark Pointy Ear People!" Also known as the Drow, or Dark Elves. Dean knew of them. But, he didn't really like the ones he had met before, they were mean to Dean! Given that, Dean generally took people on a case by case basis. Some were mean, most were nice. And Ritchie was deemed nice.

"Thank you! Dean likes these clothes." Though, he was use to wearing much less than this, armor never suited him that much. He wouldn't understand what Ritchie meant by contagious anyway, and it wouldn't really matter to him. Dean nodded when he was asked to put Ritchie down, which he did, very gently. He may have seemed like a big, dumb brute, which he was, he was also very kind and gentle. Unless angered.

Dean thought on what Ritchie had said for a moment or two. "Oh, Okay! So.. Ritchie liked this Indian person! Is sleeping with someone.. Is that.. Is that like mating?" His head tilted to the side once more.

"Would.... Ritchie.." He was doing his best to remember his name. "Like to join Dean in some spicy water? Fiery Haired Lady showed it to Dean not long ago, Dean likes it a lot." He of course was speaking of alcohol, mostly vodka or rum. His tail wagged a little bit, being excited to (hopefully) make a new friend.

Ritchie pulled a bit of a face, and shrugged when he mentioned the pointy eared blokes. "Yeah, something like that," he conceded, not sure that he was really the best source on all things Indian. He only shagged one, they didn't tend to talk at length about his ancestry.

Ritchie's feet touched ground again, and although he was slightly wobbly in the knees, he quickly regained composure. He even gave Dean a bit of a cheeky grin when he caught on to what he had been trying to say about Ash. "Exactly! Yeah, I was staring at him because I really wanted to..." he couldn't say mate because he was suddenly just laughing instead, only able to nod in confirmation instead. It sounded ridiculous when it was put that way, and he'd never called it mating in this life, it was giving him Attenborough vibes.

"I dunno, what's spicy water?" he asked, not sure it wasn't something he'd regret in the morning.

They would be two completely different things, given Dean wasn't from 'Earth' per say, maybe? It would be hard to explain, and Dean was definitely not the one to explain it. "Oh, okay! Well if Ritchie liked them, Dean would be sure to like them too!" It would be rather obvious that Dean had taken a liking to the young man, seeing as he was friendly.

"Oh, okay, so Ritchie mated with this Indian man!" There was absolutely no judgement in his voice, in fact he smiled even wider. Dean would never judge someone else for who they wanted to be with, or loved. Even if it wasn't the case here. "Dean has never mated before." That wasn't a hint or anything, just a fact. But as soon as his statement was there, it was gone as the quickly as the subject changed.

"Come, Dean will show you!" He would lead Ritchie to the refreshment table, specifically the alcohol one. Where Dean would grab a bottle of vodka. "This is spicy water!" He spoke proudly showing off the bottle just before he did what he had done with Danny before: opening the bottle and guzzling down its contents in a matter of seconds. With a refreshed sigh, Dean set the bottle down and he looked at Ritchie, the action having little to no effect on him.

Ritchie snorted with laughter, but at the same time he gave Dean an enthusiastic nod. “Yes. Yes, I did. Multiple times,” he grinned. He’d have to tell Ash that one. Well, if he was ever lucky enough to see him again.

“Oh. Well, I’m sure you’ll find someone one day. No rush,” he said, not with the usual ribbing he would’ve given Colin or any of his human friends. He didn’t know him well enough for that yet, and Ritchie did remember coming to London as an awkward virgin.

He followed the dragon guy to the drinks table, nodding with understanding when he lifted up the bottle. “Oh! Yeah, vodka. We have that where...”

He stopped talking, instead staring with a mixture of shock and awe as the man downed the whole bottle like some twisted party trick. He continued staring, dumbstruck for a moment, and then he laughed. “Fucking hell! Give us a chance!” he teased, then picked up a plastic cup. He opened a second bottle, and poured out a decent measure for himself, before offering the rest of the bottle to Dean almost warily.

"Good! Dean is glad Ritchie has found a mate!" His smile stayed as Ritchie laughed, though he was unsure why it was happening. As soon as the thought came to his head, it left.

Dean shrugged his shoulders. "Dean is not very worried about that." His thrills was more in battle. Being a high ranking member of the Swords Of Orion carried a lot of weight(heh) in his world. He had many look at him in that mind, but he was too dense to realize it.

Why did people always react like this when Dean drank his spicy water? He didn't understand, but he would pay it no mind. He looked down at the bottle Ritchie offered him. "No, no, that is Ritchie's spicy water! Dean can get more of his own." A widened smile was offered as he spoke. Which was lucky for Ritchie, the thing he wouldn't know is that if he handed anything to Dean, he would eat it.

As usual, Ritchie wanted to explain that he wasn't exactly his 'mate' per se, but considering how long it had taken them to get this fair, he probably didn't want to complicate things by trying to explain the intricacies of his relationship status.

"Thanks!" he smiled. "Yeah, you do you, that's a good attitude."

Ritchie giggled almost girlishly, and shook his head. "Ritchie will die if Ritchie drinks the whole bottle," he explained his amusement. He took a second plastic cup and added the same measure, then went about adding ice, peach schnapps, and then cranberry juice to each of them.

"I really should shake it, but this is the house party version. Called a WooWoo, for why I don't know. Here," he held one of them out for Dean to try. "This is how we drink it where I'm from."

Ritchie was right not to explain any further, Dean wouldn't have understood unless he experienced it himself. Even if he had helped a few sets of lovers in their time, though, that was mostly with monster troubles.

"Dean does not want Ritchie to die!" He spoke, his smile turning in to a light frown. The thought of it nearly sent him in to a Rage. He was rather overprotective of the ones he would call friend. Luckily cooler heads prevailed.

Dean took the drink and immediate placed it into his mouth. Cup and all. He ate/drank it all in one go with surprisingly, nothing leaving his maw. Dean's eyes lit up as his smile returned after he tasted and swallowed the 'WooWoo.'

"Mmmm. That was a very sweet spicy water! Dean likes that a lot!! Ritchie has good spicy water from Ritchie comes from!"

"Oh, don't worry. I won't," he said, with a real determination that Dean couldn't possibly begin to understand, considering he'd only just met him and had no idea what he was really dealing with. "I'm going to live," he said with some certainty to it.

His serious tone was soon pushed aside though, because when Dean took the cocktail he swallowed the whole lot at once. Ritchie was halfway through taking a sip when Dean ate the cup, and he near choked with surprise. He coughed and spluttered on cranberry juice, and then wheezy laughed. "Oh my God, you're hilarious," he chuckled.

Fuck, was he actually enjoying himself? That was something.

"We're big fans of cocktails where I'm from, yeah! Keeps things interesting."

"Good!" Dean spoke with a smile, completely misunderstanding what Ritchie had mean. "Dean will smash anything that wants to hurt Ritchie!" There was a small flare of Rage in his eyes, but, only because Dean was concerned about his new friend. If there was a physical threat to Ritchie, they'd have to go through the wall that was Dean before even dreaming of touching the young man.

It was instinct, to just eat anything handed to him, ever since he could remember. Which was a lot, but not much at the same time. Dean's head tilted to the side again, not only from Ritchie's reaction, but his words, especially the word 'hilarious.' "Dean doesn't know what that means... But Dean is happy Dean can make Richie laugh!"

"Dean is glad that Ritchie is having a good time!" He softly as he set his massive clawed hand on the young man's shoulder, it was a gentle pat, even for such a brute.

Ritchie had no idea what he had done to get himself into Dean's good graces, but there was something strangely sweet about the dragon's protective streak coming out already. Oh, how I wish you could he thought silently to himself, sure that he didn't want to try to explain his situation to him. Instead, he forced on a smile to cover the darker truth, and simply said, "You do seem like the sort of guy I'd want on my side in a fight."

He sipped at his cocktail, and the smile started to be less forced as Dean kept talking. "Oh, that's all it means. Just that you make me laugh, that I'm having fun," he explained gently.

This station seemed like it might be alright after all.

It honestly didn't take much to get on Dean's good side; just don't try to hurt him or his friends. And Ritchie had done neither, plus, Dean liked the young man's chipper personality and his singing voice was divine. "Of course Dean will fight by the side of Ritchie!" He spoke with enthusiasm, nodding in the same way. "Any one who tries to harm Ritchie will have to harm Dean first!"

"Oh, okay! Dean is glad Ritchie is having fun!" His tail wagged a little more, not enough to do any damage to anything, but enough to show that Dean himself was also having fun.

"Is Ritchie going to sing again? Ritchie has a very nice voice."

"Well, then I am honoured," Ritchie said with a little flourish. "Yeah, a party is a good way to get to know people, too," he nodded. It was definitely good timing for a newcomer, and in keeping with the lifestyle he was used to. Announcing yourself on a forum felt like a lot of pressure, a party felt perfectly normal. Well. Almost normal. Look at who he was chatting to.

"Ummm..." Ritchie tilted his head to the side as he thought about it. A couple of other people had sang since his last performance, so it wouldn't seem too egotistical. And he really did love it. "Yeah, alright, since you're such a fan!" he teased with a little wink. "I'll just finish this..." A couple of decent gulps and the woo woo was complete. He looked around for a bin, and on finding one he made a conscious effort to push his cup far down, underneath other rubbish.

"Wish me luck!" he smiled, and then shimmied off to pick his next song.

"Parties are fun, yes! Dean went to one once, but ended up having to fight a couple of monsters. They were.. Uh..." He paused for a moment trying to think of the word. "Oh! Vampires! They bit Dean, but Dean was already less blue at the time. So it didn't do anything to Dean."

Dean's smile widened even further when Ritchie said he would sing again, this made him rather happy. He then watched Ritchie as he put the cup deep into the trash can, tilting his head to the side as he didn't understand as to why he did that, but he wouldn't ask as it wasn't really his business.

"Good luck, Ritchie!" He gave him a wave and waited for hear him sing.

Well, the conversation had taken a bit of a turn. Ritchie just gave him a wide-eyed look as he spoke of monsters and vampires? "Jesus..." he muttered, not really sure how he felt about that. "The worst we had to worry about was getting spiked," he joked darkly.

Ritchie flicked through the song choices, not entirely sure what he was looking for until he saw it. Perfect.

His turn came, and he picked up the microphone once again.

"Hi, me again. This song is for Gregory, an old friend who is no longer with us," he said softly into the microphone, looking quite somber about it. Partly because it was awfully sad, but also partly a bit of a performance to contrast with his song choice.

The first beats of the song kicked in, and Ritchie continued to look down for the first few seconds, until the familiar countermelody began. "Or as we used to call her..." he looked up with a dazzling smile, and lifted his hands into the air to mimic the original artist's beats and hip shakes.

"Gloria!
You're always on the run now,
Running after somebody,
you gotta get him somehow...
"

He really gave it his all, hitting impressive high notes for his sex, clearly very used to getting lost in a performance. He even held the mic out to the party just expecting them to do the echo. Any hint of anxiety had vanished. He just loved it.

"Are the voices in your head calling, Gloriaaaaa..." he held the final note, clipped it beautifully, flashed a winning smile, and gave his bow.

Oh, Ritchie had no idea of what Dean had faced in his world. But it was neither here nor there, unless he asked Dean for further detail. Said details, may not come in a coherent way. His "less than blue" comment actually meant that Dean himself was undead for a good while.

There was a small frown on Dean's face when Ritchie mentioned a friend who was no longer with them. He knew that pain, even if it wasn't in the forefront of his mind. It was never easy losing a friend, but Dean hoped Ritchie gaining a new one might help.

While Ritchie sang, Dean moved up to the dance floor and began to do his best to dance along to the song. The song itself was entrancing. Dancing was not really his strong suite, but he certainly did try! He found the rhythm of the song, and shifted his body to move along with it, though he made sure his tail or wings didn't bring harm to anyone. While a big dumb brute, he was anything but clumsy. Any onlookers would definitely be curious at the sight before them.

When Ritchie was done, Dean stopped and clapped his hands in thunderous applause. He let out a rather loud, but happy roar as way of appreciation for his new found friend's song.
