Who: Everyone
What: PARTY
Where: One of the particularly fancy hotels in Wheel 1
When:Friday night, starting around dinner time
OPEN/Multiple threads/tag warnings on your threads as needed

The lobby of the hotel is mostly unchanged, other than the furniture all being pushed to the edges of the space to make an impromptu dance floor. There's a small stage set-up on one side, during the first half of the night there is just a computer there, it's set to auto-play a variety of music but there is also the option for guests to play a specific song jukebox style.

One another side of the room there are food and (non-alcoholic) drinks set up. Everything is catered from through the door and it's mostly finger foods, appetizers, and small tapas-style plates, everything kept warm on electric warmers. It's enough for a meal if someone wants to sit down or they're all easy enough to graze on through the night. The drink station here is all non-alcoholic and features waters, sodas, and a few custom punch mixes.

Separated from the main food/drink setup is a bar table. It is well stocked with basically an entire bar's worth of liquor, various mixers, fruits, and garnishes. There is a mixed punch here too, this one spiked.

About an hour after most people arrive, Richie and Eddie will start gathering up anyone close to them and directing them into a smaller meeting room off of the lobby. Once in there they'll find what is basically a small wedding setup, rows of chairs lined up with a small altar at the front. (The doors to this room won't be shut at any point, so even people who aren't close to Richie and Eddie would be able to see or sit in if they come across it) Richie and Eddie will renew their vows in a small ceremony led by Loki before leading everyone back out to rejoin the party.

Once they get back, the "DJ station" will be pushed off to one side of the stage and a karaoke machine will take front-and-center. The food tables will be condensed and one replaced by a dessert table, featuring a cake, a couple of pies, and a candy buffet.

The food tables would be taken in once most of it was gone, and Richie and Eddie would wander off sometime after midnight, but the rest would be left in place as long as people want to stay.

"Oh, don't worry. I won't," he said, with a real determination that Dean couldn't possibly begin to understand, considering he'd only just met him and had no idea what he was really dealing with. "I'm going to live," he said with some certainty to it.

His serious tone was soon pushed aside though, because when Dean took the cocktail he swallowed the whole lot at once. Ritchie was halfway through taking a sip when Dean ate the cup, and he near choked with surprise. He coughed and spluttered on cranberry juice, and then wheezy laughed. "Oh my God, you're hilarious," he chuckled.

Fuck, was he actually enjoying himself? That was something.

"We're big fans of cocktails where I'm from, yeah! Keeps things interesting."

"Good!" Dean spoke with a smile, completely misunderstanding what Ritchie had mean. "Dean will smash anything that wants to hurt Ritchie!" There was a small flare of Rage in his eyes, but, only because Dean was concerned about his new friend. If there was a physical threat to Ritchie, they'd have to go through the wall that was Dean before even dreaming of touching the young man.

It was instinct, to just eat anything handed to him, ever since he could remember. Which was a lot, but not much at the same time. Dean's head tilted to the side again, not only from Ritchie's reaction, but his words, especially the word 'hilarious.' "Dean doesn't know what that means... But Dean is happy Dean can make Richie laugh!"

"Dean is glad that Ritchie is having a good time!" He softly as he set his massive clawed hand on the young man's shoulder, it was a gentle pat, even for such a brute.

Ritchie had no idea what he had done to get himself into Dean's good graces, but there was something strangely sweet about the dragon's protective streak coming out already. Oh, how I wish you could he thought silently to himself, sure that he didn't want to try to explain his situation to him. Instead, he forced on a smile to cover the darker truth, and simply said, "You do seem like the sort of guy I'd want on my side in a fight."

He sipped at his cocktail, and the smile started to be less forced as Dean kept talking. "Oh, that's all it means. Just that you make me laugh, that I'm having fun," he explained gently.

This station seemed like it might be alright after all.

It honestly didn't take much to get on Dean's good side; just don't try to hurt him or his friends. And Ritchie had done neither, plus, Dean liked the young man's chipper personality and his singing voice was divine. "Of course Dean will fight by the side of Ritchie!" He spoke with enthusiasm, nodding in the same way. "Any one who tries to harm Ritchie will have to harm Dean first!"

"Oh, okay! Dean is glad Ritchie is having fun!" His tail wagged a little more, not enough to do any damage to anything, but enough to show that Dean himself was also having fun.

"Is Ritchie going to sing again? Ritchie has a very nice voice."

"Well, then I am honoured," Ritchie said with a little flourish. "Yeah, a party is a good way to get to know people, too," he nodded. It was definitely good timing for a newcomer, and in keeping with the lifestyle he was used to. Announcing yourself on a forum felt like a lot of pressure, a party felt perfectly normal. Well. Almost normal. Look at who he was chatting to.

"Ummm..." Ritchie tilted his head to the side as he thought about it. A couple of other people had sang since his last performance, so it wouldn't seem too egotistical. And he really did love it. "Yeah, alright, since you're such a fan!" he teased with a little wink. "I'll just finish this..." A couple of decent gulps and the woo woo was complete. He looked around for a bin, and on finding one he made a conscious effort to push his cup far down, underneath other rubbish.

"Wish me luck!" he smiled, and then shimmied off to pick his next song.

"Parties are fun, yes! Dean went to one once, but ended up having to fight a couple of monsters. They were.. Uh..." He paused for a moment trying to think of the word. "Oh! Vampires! They bit Dean, but Dean was already less blue at the time. So it didn't do anything to Dean."

Dean's smile widened even further when Ritchie said he would sing again, this made him rather happy. He then watched Ritchie as he put the cup deep into the trash can, tilting his head to the side as he didn't understand as to why he did that, but he wouldn't ask as it wasn't really his business.

"Good luck, Ritchie!" He gave him a wave and waited for hear him sing.

Well, the conversation had taken a bit of a turn. Ritchie just gave him a wide-eyed look as he spoke of monsters and vampires? "Jesus..." he muttered, not really sure how he felt about that. "The worst we had to worry about was getting spiked," he joked darkly.

Ritchie flicked through the song choices, not entirely sure what he was looking for until he saw it. Perfect.

His turn came, and he picked up the microphone once again.

"Hi, me again. This song is for Gregory, an old friend who is no longer with us," he said softly into the microphone, looking quite somber about it. Partly because it was awfully sad, but also partly a bit of a performance to contrast with his song choice.

The first beats of the song kicked in, and Ritchie continued to look down for the first few seconds, until the familiar countermelody began. "Or as we used to call her..." he looked up with a dazzling smile, and lifted his hands into the air to mimic the original artist's beats and hip shakes.

"Gloria!
You're always on the run now,
Running after somebody,
you gotta get him somehow...
"

He really gave it his all, hitting impressive high notes for his sex, clearly very used to getting lost in a performance. He even held the mic out to the party just expecting them to do the echo. Any hint of anxiety had vanished. He just loved it.

"Are the voices in your head calling, Gloriaaaaa..." he held the final note, clipped it beautifully, flashed a winning smile, and gave his bow.

Oh, Ritchie had no idea of what Dean had faced in his world. But it was neither here nor there, unless he asked Dean for further detail. Said details, may not come in a coherent way. His "less than blue" comment actually meant that Dean himself was undead for a good while.

There was a small frown on Dean's face when Ritchie mentioned a friend who was no longer with them. He knew that pain, even if it wasn't in the forefront of his mind. It was never easy losing a friend, but Dean hoped Ritchie gaining a new one might help.

While Ritchie sang, Dean moved up to the dance floor and began to do his best to dance along to the song. The song itself was entrancing. Dancing was not really his strong suite, but he certainly did try! He found the rhythm of the song, and shifted his body to move along with it, though he made sure his tail or wings didn't bring harm to anyone. While a big dumb brute, he was anything but clumsy. Any onlookers would definitely be curious at the sight before them.

When Ritchie was done, Dean stopped and clapped his hands in thunderous applause. He let out a rather loud, but happy roar as way of appreciation for his new found friend's song.
