Music wafted onto the street from the large hotel. So many varieties of music came from the building that they all mingled together to form a cacophonous melee of sound, indistinguishable one from another. The doors to the hotel were open and people streamed inside. Their names were noted down as they entered, keeping record of who came and went so that those who ignored the mandate could be hunted down and punished accordingly.
The main ballroom where the party was being held, had bands on either end. One playing rock, the other playing the type of music one could slow dance to. Other smaller rooms off the main ballroom had other types of music going. There were a lot of decorations, darkly ornate and gothic. Human slaves walked around taking drink orders. The lights were dimmed and gave off a foggy glow. Tables lined the walls that held a veritable buffet of foods. A fountain of flowing blood sat right next to a fountain of chocolate. Raw meats of all kinds, cooked meats of all kinds and a variety of other lavish dishes were available for consumption. Drinks of all sorts were also available, among them were Clay's specialty wines.
Tables covered with small gift bags flanked the doors. Party favors from the Sanguine. Each bag contained a thank you note for their attendance, a bar of the finest chocolate available in the city, a small bottle of handmade perfume or cologne, hand rolled cigars or cigarettes, a small bottle of fruit flavored vodka, a gift certificate good for any of the restaurants on the strip and a ticket good for free admission to any of the clubs.
Ghouls patrolled the rooms, breaking up fights and intercepting potential brawls. Those on the randier side could be seen in the corners, making out or screwing. It was an anything goes type of party and while some grumbled about being there, most were ready to have a good time.
