I was scared out of my mind. Colonel Wraith kept me locked up in a room with metal walls on threes side and an energy shield on the fourth and all I wanted was to get the hell out of anything that made me feel enclosed. I barely understood how to use my powers and was still in the regularly tortured stage, and anyone who was an adult was more or less an enemy and couldn't be trusted. Logan managed to draw me in with waffles for a little while, but only 'cause I remembered him from Sabertooth's memories.

It fucking sucks, Rogue. No one is trying to take away that suck factor from you or diminish what you were going through. None of us knew what point in your timeline you were from. You're my friend and I fucking care a lot about my friends. But I'm not going to be the one that coddles. I don't know how to do that anymore. What I can do, is tell everyone like it is. Maybe you should try telling Klara and John that shit if you haven't already? It's going to take more than 'I'm sorry'.

Klara's a kid but she ain't and John is a big boy. They don't need coddling either. It's a mess but it ain't unfixable. Don't push Klara but don't fuck off either.

I know. I'm not excusing what my teenage self did, but I'm just...letting you know why I took off. They know some of it, but I try not to tell Klara too much 'cause she's too young to know about all that, you know? I guess I should've maybe anticipated something like this happening and let all of y'all know what to do if it did, but I think we were all caught up by the Entity pulling a repeat on this kind of fuckery.

I'm not planning on fucking off. I want to fix this, and I'm sticking around to do that.
