It's hard to be "alright" when you find things and know things you shouldn't know yet and people keep saying people are the "wrong age" when they're not "wrong" they're just not what others are used to and

Yeah, still the same age. I guess it may or may not be permanent. Not sure what to make of that, but it's just as weird as anything else here, I guess.

How are you? This whole aging thing's got to take a toll.

I'm still trying to work that out. My girl's not talking to me but she's at least reading most of my messages. I need to work out how to fix things for her, and with my guy. It can be hard to decide how to handle this happening to someone you care about, maybe even harder than being on the other end of it and not knowing how to deal with people claiming to know you when you're older.

Have you tried asking? There's a serious lack of asking from others, but I think you'd get not being asked. Or a peace offering? I don't know what's going on to know what to do. I know you're not asking me that, either. But sometimes people just want to know you're going to be there for them. And that you're listening. That they're heard.

It happened to Luther, and I'm fine.

I don't think any of them know me anyway. I left three years ago. Or more, I guess, with this whole weird thing that's going on. They just have an impression of me. Mostly. It's hard to tell without knowing more about the me who's been here longer and has clothes and pictures and a life here.

I plan to, but I don't wanna crowd her too much at once. I'm gonna cook dinner for her though, and hope that helps a little with getting our routine back to normal. She's pretty upset 'cause she lost a bunch of her friends while I was a teen, including my other girl that was living with us. it's rough on us all. I'll definitely be listening when she wants to talk.

I can tell you what I know about that version of you if you want, or you can wait it out and see what happens. Up to you, sugar.

I was scared out of my mind. Colonel Wraith kept me locked up in a room with metal walls on threes side and an energy shield on the fourth and all I wanted was to get the hell out of anything that made me feel enclosed. I barely understood how to use my powers and was still in the regularly tortured stage, and anyone who was an adult was more or less an enemy and couldn't be trusted. Logan managed to draw me in with waffles for a little while, but only 'cause I remembered him from Sabertooth's memories.

It fucking sucks, Rogue. No one is trying to take away that suck factor from you or diminish what you were going through. None of us knew what point in your timeline you were from. You're my friend and I fucking care a lot about my friends. But I'm not going to be the one that coddles. I don't know how to do that anymore. What I can do, is tell everyone like it is. Maybe you should try telling Klara and John that shit if you haven't already? It's going to take more than 'I'm sorry'.

Klara's a kid but she ain't and John is a big boy. They don't need coddling either. It's a mess but it ain't unfixable. Don't push Klara but don't fuck off either.

I know. I'm not excusing what my teenage self did, but I'm just...letting you know why I took off. They know some of it, but I try not to tell Klara too much 'cause she's too young to know about all that, you know? I guess I should've maybe anticipated something like this happening and let all of y'all know what to do if it did, but I think we were all caught up by the Entity pulling a repeat on this kind of fuckery.

I'm not planning on fucking off. I want to fix this, and I'm sticking around to do that.
