If I am to be here for any length of time at all, I am in dire need of proper clothing. Is there someone familiar with women's fashions of this period who could perhaps join me for a few hours tomorrow in shopping for something decent?

I'm quite familiar with women's fashion, and would be glad to help.

I'm used to my brothers scoffing at me for being interested in fashion or asking if they'll shop with me. Even Lucy would

First of all, not only are boys are idiots, but some of them are far more interested in clothes than they let on.

Second of all, this is going to be one awkward shopping trip trying to help you I guess woo find s ugh gross with my friend's dad playing fashion consultant chaperone. We'll save things like underwear and bathing suits for another trip.

Third of all, please see one about boys being idiots.

Believe me, I'm really the only one in the family who was ever interested in such things.

Alright, that's fine with me. I don't think I could even look at something like that with

That's really sad. Fashion's a lot of fun!

Great! Because there are just some things you don't do with your friend's dad.

I've always thought so.

At least some things haven't changed.

Oh do you have prom back in the stone the time you're from? Or school dances in general? It's prom season, and there are so many gorgeous dresses out right now. I might have to live vicariously through Josie and Hope, but we should still try some on! Oh, I can invite Hope! Since her dad might come along, he can definitely pay for her prom dress! And you, Josie, and I can help her pick one out! And matching shoes!

Well, if you insist.

Hey, if you don't have one, can I be your date? We kind of missed our birth It'll be something fun to look forward to. But if you meet someone by then, I'll figure something out. Or crash it. We'll see!

And you! Though I totally get it if it's too weird to go shopping with your dad and the girl he's totally trying to But I get if you're busy right now. We can always go shopping later. There's no guarantee we'll even find the perfect dress on the first try. And I've got magazines we can look at.

Do you not remember the last time there was a dress and you and him were involved? As long as there are no puffy sleeves or neon.

Prom? It's been some time since I've been in school, but no. With the war going on, there wasn't often a great deal of time for a lot of recreational activities in general. We had balls in I think I'd enjoy looking through dresses, though.

How long is some time? Even if you don't get a prom dress, it's always fun trying them on. And it's not like it cost money to try them on!

I finished sixth form about four years ago, and I left the university last year without completing the program. I do enjoy trying dresses on very much.
