Fate is a cruel mistress or so I've discovered, I can't imagine this time will be any different.

Well Emma it seems knows me from a different reality whereas Jean is from my own reality and I don't recall a Hope being a student of Charles'.

I meant that I used my powers. I'm from the same reality as Emma. I was raised in the future, and came back to the past, and after my dad died you were the first person who spoke to me and the only one who didn't expect anything of me or try to pressure me. Or the version I know of you, at least.

I see. I would ask in future that you refrain from that. I much prefer spoken or written conversation over anything else.

I'm sorry - some powers are a little new and it takes me longer to figure out how to control them. Emma is helping some, but with new mutants arriving almost every day...I'll try.

I've been here almost a week and no one's tried to kill me yet. I think that's some kind of record.
