Turns out getting a job is easier than I thought once I lower my standards.

Also, the light on the roof is perfect, so let me know if you're going to the barbecue and don't want to end up a figure study.

Good! Not that it's a permanent fix, I'm sure, but it's good to know you can get out of it.

I was away from home for ten years back home so I'm no stranger to homesickness but there I could at least call my dad can talk to him to feel better.

I totally understand that. Weirdly, I miss my friends' parents more than my mom... but it might be a matter of time.

[and talk*] I absolutely get that. My best friend's mom was like a surrogate mom to me after my own left.

Funny how that happens, isn't it? Some people just radiate that sort of energy regardless of biology.

You've got some of those, too?

Yeah, I'm a foster kid.

That will do it. So they were good ones?

My last ones, yeah. They are the best.

Good. I hope you don't miss them too much.

[ignore my other comment] I hope you've had some good foster families.

I have one now! Well, in my world. Are you feeling better from the other day?

I know foster care can be pretty harsh sometimes so I'm glad it worked out for you. I am, yeah. Thank you.

That's my Papi. Dad to everyone he meets.

Yea, that's not my mom. Scott's mom, though...

I bet you're really proud of him.

I'm sorry your mom sucked too.

I am! He's been through so much yet he goes through every day with a smile on his face and a positive attitude. I wish I could be more like him.

No, she tried, she's just not that kind of person. My dad's the one that sucks.

You've got time and a good example, might happen yet. He's probably proud of you back.

So you're a personal shopper? How does that work?

If someone has an event coming up, I can pick out an entire outfit from shoes to clothes and accessories that will be appropriate but also make them look good. Or if they're just wanting to know what to wear with a top they like, I can help out with that, too. I could even set up an entire wardrobe for someone if they want.

That sounds like a job that could be useful to women like myself that are too busy with work to shop.

Absolutely. Aforementioned friends and family discount applies, too.

What do you do while you're here?

That makes it sound even better.

I'm a biomedical researcher at Stark Labs and a self admitting workaholic. I just really love my job.
