Anna was having moments where she careened -- seemed like the appropriate word -- between excitement and what could only be described as terror over the realization that in nine months there was going to be a small human that she and Cas were going to be solely responsible for. Not only was she discovering that her brain was cooking up a thousand and one ways that they could seriously screw up, but she was also fairly positive that the city had several ideas of it's own planned.
Which led back to the idea of the city being sentient which was something that Anna really tried not to think about because it was just crazy. And by now it was becoming pretty obvious that there was likely SOMETHING in charge. Even if none of them knew what.
Anna climbed up onto the examination table and grinned at Cas as she did. She wasn't entirely sure exactly what was supposed to happen beyond there was a thing that took a picture of what the baby looked like. Or that could show them or something. Either way, she felt like this was probably going to go a long way in making this feel a little more real.
But right now, they mostly just had to sit there and wait for Doctor Grey to come in. Which was just as frustrating as she remembered it when she was a teenager, so it was good to know some things didn't change even if you were whisked away to an alternate dimension or whatever it was.
She bit down on her lip for a moment. She'd been trying to come up with a way to express half of the things that had been going through her mind that didn't involve yelling at her sister over the network, but Anna was discovering that it was harder to say things to Cas in that manner. And she didn't know WHY. Cas was always ridiculously easy to talk to. Really.
