Barbara didn't have intentions of going to Wayne Manor just yet. Yes, she was still upset that one of the few good cops left a year ago. That cop was named Dick Grayson and he wasn't just a fellow officer, he was her friend. Granted in high school she didn't think they had too much in common, but the comradeship that formed during their time trying to fix Gotham's streets showed they did. Both trying to escape from a shadow that they were buried under. Then Dick left. He was gone for a year, now he was back, in charge of Wayne Enterprises and Barbara wasn't sure when was a good time to talk to him. She'd gone to Mr. Wayne's funeral but didn't wish to speak to him yet. Space, he needed space.
Then she read that Lizzy was attacked and she began to make preparations to see her longtime friend at the hospital. When she went there that morning, she was told that Lizzy checked out and it didn't take her long to find out that she was moved to Wayne Manor. Well, now was likely as good a time as ever to visit Lizzy, and she now had a good reason to show up at Dick's doorstep.
She was off duty, so her clothing was casual and waiting in the foyer of Wayne Manor. She'd been let in, thankfully, and now stood waiting with her arms at her sides, one hand holding a plastic grocery bag. The contents of the bag were small treats, a few Sudoku books, and whatever else Barbara could scrounge around that she figured might help Lizzy keep occupied while she was recovering from the attack. Lizzy was a friend of Barbara's since high school, the two were an interesting set then and they managed to retain their friendship as they got older. It was coincidence that each when into some form of criminal justice. Barbara went to work as a police officer and Lizzy had become the Assistant District Attorney.
She'd been in Wayne Manor before but only for when Bruce had thrown a party and she accompanied her father. That was a number of years ago though, and now the place wasn't filled with wine and conversation among adults. Barbara turned when she heard footsteps approaching, hoping that she'd finally get to see Lizzy.
