Oh. My. God.

I rarely read anything HP-related these days; only on occasion do I read a Snarry, because they are my OTP in the fandom.

And Oh. My. God. I love it. It's amazing. I couldn't stop reading it, and...words fail me, I'm sorry. I wish I could give more coherent feedback. I'm just blown away by the pace, the mood, the...sheer perfection.

Wow.

(Oh, and I'm gaaak on LJ and IJ. I just can't remember my IJ p-word. *blush*)

I think you just won the Games. No, really. This was easily the best, most touching story I've read in this Games - and there have been a lot of good stories. There were moments I couldn't breathe because of the beauty of your tale. So sad, so hopeful.

And just when I thought: Yeah, I've made it without shedding a tear, you wrote this: The beginning could be anywhere - could be the locking of eyes across a hall full of first years, could be a rainy night in a pub playing Christmas carols, could be a single mother on a train from Manchester to London, writing fine lines of desire between two people she has not met, drawing green eyes and hooked noses and "Look... at... me... (look at me, damn you, let me have this, just this -")

Tears in my eyes, tears on my hands, tears on my keyboard.

So, as you probably suspected - I love this story. Thank you for writing it!

All I can do is echo what so many others have already written. This is an astonishingly accomplished piece of writing and one of the best pieces of fan fic I have ever read (and I've been reading since Kirk and Spock first got it together!)
You made young Snape so real and so human. Their love affair was a series of beautiful vignettes that became a perfect whole. This was a story about love and the impact it has on all of us, whatever the medium through which it is conveyed. This is also a story that will live long in my memory. I can't thank you enough for letting me share it.

Where to start with the praise?
What a wonderfully constructed and created story. Like you said it could begin at any one of numerous points and equally end so.
But in between...wow! I was fully prepared not to like it,having read the warnings, but I did.
There were times when the tension betwen Harry and Snape was so intense I wanted to scream at them, always the sign of a fantastic story!
Marvellously involved and a joy to read. One to bring out with a favourite cup of tea in a few months time.

SOOOOOOO great! It's kind of intimidating to even comment with so many wonderful comments on the board! However, I didn't see anyone else mention the hints of The Time Travelers Wife, one of my favorite novels, and thought you must have used it for a speck of inspiration? I loved the different ages that they met as, and the being snatched away. And it was such a desperate, wonderful, moving, poignant love affair they had in their brief snatches of time together.

Your Severus is just heartbreaking and so pitch perfect in voice, characterization, pathos (much as he'd hate to be described with that word). So many years of suffering, such bitterness, such denied hope.
And same for Harry, although I didn't feel his anguish as deeply as Severus's. The endless waiting for that watch to start ticking must have been horrible, though.

I just loved this story, and know that I will come back to it many times in the future. Great job, amazing writing....AWESOME CONCLUSION TO THE GAMES!!!

WOW.

Both [info]accioslash and [info]joanwilder told me to look out for your story. Joan even mentioned that this was probably her favourite in the Games. I can see why. And it's amazing, y'know, that my two favourite stories of the Games have been from authors whose work I am not familiar with. I am going to seek out your stories after this. Straight away!

If this fic were a person, I would get down on bended knee and ask for its hand. I fell HARD. Snape the younger is PERFECT. I was in such bliss reading his and Harry's sections that when I was pulled back into the story present, I pouted like a little girl not wanting to come in from playing. SO SO GOOD. I'm rambling incoherently now. I will be reccing this for sure ♥

Beautiful work!

Is there anything, anything better in this world than a rollicking good, time-wonking snarry fic? merlin, i'm happy.

It may sound as if it says more about me than the fic, but this is the only story from the games that I finished and enjoyed a lot. It sure was powerful and interesting! Thank you!

Oh god you guys set the bar so high. It's hard, oh so hard, to read other fic in any other fandom, or any other pairing when you roll out pieces like this.

Honestly, you put canon to shame. If I ever need to prove to my friends that hp fandom is better than canon, I will definitely point them to your story.

The prose, the lingering ache and longing of the characters. I rarely ever read a story and go breathless after a while. This story is amazing, I will definitely reread it again and again in the future.

This was most masterfully executed.

The time lines, the interruptions, the situations that they found themselves in. Plus, the mystery of Harry's attack which called Severus, finally, finally out of Amsterdam.

You had me cheering for Harry, for Severus. I just wanted more time for them. Which is why I loved the ending, of Severus just wanting to watch Harry garden, just because they can and they had the time for it.

I even loved the manipulative Albus, who I cursed for sending that gift to Harry only to cause heartaches for him at every turn. Thank you for ending it the way you did, I could not have tolerated them being apart at the end. The pain they had to endure was already to much; they deserved to have time together finally.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. A most wonderful read!

This is utterly gorgeous. I was hesitant because I was afraid it would end in tragedy, but I am so glad I continued reading despite my fears. I got so excited when I recognised the similar sub-headings for the different parts like those in The Time Traveler's Wife, because I love the concept of involuntary time traveling.

I love how the trigger for Harry's return to the linear timeline is due to the fact that he tries to tell Snape the truth. Vocally, via Pensive, via memory, I love how all of them failed so beautifully. I especially love how Severus got the memory vial in the form of dust and broken glass. And when Harry found a Muggle way, it really broke my heart that he couldn't give it to Severus, that his chance of saving Severus was snatched right before his eyes.

I love how Harry and Ginny's relationship ended amiably, how they remained friends.

I love Harry and Severus' interactions, that they managed to share so much together in the little time they had. They had an immediate connection, and they couldn't let it go. I love that Harry met Severus at a time when Severus was less guarded, enabling them to form a relationship. You kept very true to the characters, and it is such a brilliant read.

This is an absolutely amazing story. I love all the details in it, all the relationships, all the developments. I love it in the end when Dumbledore warned Severus in his own way, and that they all had their own happy endings. AWESOME.

I agree with accioslash - best for last, indeed!

I love your phrasing. There were just so many beautiful passages. I spent half the fic saying: "wow! Damn, I wish I'd written that!" heh.

Cool hands push the hair out of Severus' eyes, and then he is being kissed, kissed by a mouth that is the opposite of funerals, and a tongue twists with his own, and Severus wants to touch every piece of the man in front of him, wants so many things at once that he feels he may tear himself apart.

The opposite of funerals - man, did that ever hit me! Amazing use of emotion, setting and imagery. I was treated to so many little gifts like this along the way.

At first, I was really reminded of The Time Traveller's Wife, mostly because of the listing of their ages with each new section, and that opening scene with Severus/Henry hating Christmas and getting absolutely sloshed!

Great work with the time travelling bit and not losing your readers along the way. This has the feel of a well-loved epic, and I'm sooooo glad you are on my team! WAHOOOO, baby!

I'm still trying to figure out why Harry's adopted children look like him, but really, who cares? This is a wonderful romance and an amazing character study. Also, way to play our emotions! My heart broke with Harry's at Severus' 'final' rejection at spinner's end, but luckily, it was knitted back together in harry's new garden.

Well done!

This was brilliant, and the ending. Oh, it was so appropriate, and even though it kind of broke the fourth wall, it was pitch perfect. How rare it is to find such a good ending. I'm going to be thinking about this for a long time.

I love your portrait of Severus as a young man and how he (reluctantly) falls in love with Harry; it gives a whole new perspective on canon. And thank you for allowing them their happy 'ending'. Definitely one I shall reread.

This is outstanding and so, so gorgeous. I'm not in a position right now to truly express how much I love this story (I'm afraid it has tugged at my heart far too many times and has left me a bit speechless, plus I'm sobbing), so I'll sum everything up by saying this is easily my favorite story posted at the Games. Well done.

I've been sitting here reading and crying for the last two hours and I don't know what to say or do that would express what I feel for you and this fic. This is the reason why I read this pairing. Its the kind of story that comes along and breaks my heart and engraves itself into my body and never lets go.
