I love your phrasing. There were just so many beautiful passages. I spent half the fic saying: "wow! Damn, I wish I'd written that!" heh.
Cool hands push the hair out of Severus' eyes, and then he is being kissed, kissed by a mouth that is the opposite of funerals, and a tongue twists with his own, and Severus wants to touch every piece of the man in front of him, wants so many things at once that he feels he may tear himself apart.
The opposite of funerals - man, did that ever hit me! Amazing use of emotion, setting and imagery. I was treated to so many little gifts like this along the way.
At first, I was really reminded of The Time Traveller's Wife, mostly because of the listing of their ages with each new section, and that opening scene with Severus/Henry hating Christmas and getting absolutely sloshed!
Great work with the time travelling bit and not losing your readers along the way. This has the feel of a well-loved epic, and I'm sooooo glad you are on my team! WAHOOOO, baby!
I'm still trying to figure out why Harry's adopted children look like him, but really, who cares? This is a wonderful romance and an amazing character study. Also, way to play our emotions! My heart broke with Harry's at Severus' 'final' rejection at spinner's end, but luckily, it was knitted back together in harry's new garden.
