Time-travel! One of the top-best in the fandom, I think, and certainly not for the lack of quality in the other time-travel stories (thankfully, there's plenty of very good stuff). The characterisation is wonderful, and smoothly tender without ever sliding into the ridiculous/mushy. Dear author, thank you, thank you, thank you for granting this reader, at least, hours of consistent rapture with this exciting tale! There's never enough good time travel in the world (of Snarry in particular, and on the whole in general). Not once the story got even the tinsiest bit inane or disbelievable. Respect, and appreciation. =)

really great story. Start to finish. Having Harry start and end the story was a nice bookending technique. Your twentysomething Harry and Severus are wonderful. You do a marvelous job giving Snape just the right balance of hostile, vulnerable and human. Your time transitions worked really well. And I just loved the ending. Dumbledore hadn't intended for them to fall in love, had he? He was committed to not changing the time line, but when he saw Harry's anguish, he took that one hint about Nagini and made sure Severus would always be prepared. Truly well done. Kudos!

This. Is. Amazing!

Amazing enough that it's 4am and I stayed up to read it.
Amazing enough that I blew off studying for an exam.
Amazing enough that I want to read this all over again.

I love how it's canon, believable, and completely fitting. The way you wove in elements of the series with your own unique ideas...And the way you begin and end this piece? There are no words to express my love for this.

Hi,

I've just finished reading this story and I think that it's amazing. It made me ache so much and long and yearn and I haven't been that moved by a fic for a pretty long time.

I'm not really able to describe all my sensations right now, I would have to read it again but it's just perfect.

I would like if you want it and haven't been asked before to translate it in french, it would take me some time but after reading it it's just something that I would really like to do. I do believe that this story must be read by the largest amount of people possible.

I leave you my email : clementine.k@hotmail.fr

Thanks again for this story. It's made my day. And a lot more.

Eliane,
xxx

It was a pleasure to read this story, though I was sobbing all over it. And the wonderful review you received from Perverse idyll! I feel like a voyeur to a literature class, wow.
What I wanted to add - your sex scenes are the best I ever read. They are extremely erotic, and slowly moving and hot, of course, but at the same time so emotionally driven, that I was crying the most at that part. And I noticed, your Snape was crying, too. You are amazing how to involve the reader, place us into the very heart of the feelings.
Thank you so much!

At some point reading this I wanted to make myself stop. I kept thinking that there was no way it could end happily. You have no idea how happy I was to be proven wrong. I loved how original, how very fresh this was. It blew my mind in the best ways possible. This is a marvelous gem of a story I really loved. Excellent work.

This story is beautiful beyond words. I didn't think there was stories like this left to be written. Nothing I could ever say about it could really do it justice. Young Snape is so bitter and harsh and all the those things but also so very feeling that it hurts, and the way their relationship develops...(I was all sighs and sobs and melting things). Oh and can you write sex!! Your language is something else too, again I am at a loss for words, it is simply amazing, wonderful absolutely wauw!
Thank you, thank you thank you for this. I will definitely come back to read this again in the future.

I know I am impossibly late to the party here, but this was just recc'd to me, and it's absolutely heartwrenching and breathtaking.

I was torn between rushing through it to see what happens, and taking my time to savour every single well placed word.

Bravo, my dear, this is now amongst my very favourite Snarry stories ever.

Reading this at the present moment, have not seen a single warning of this story.... What I want to say more than anything is, "GET ON WITH THE SNARRY! WHERE IS HE DISAPPEARING TO ALL THE TIME, AND WHEN HE IS NOT THERE IS ANGSTANGSTANGST AND NOT SNARRYSNARRYSNARRY!"

....Maybe *I* should write a time-travel fic...? ;) There will be no angst, there will be snarry from the first word, there will be no conflict, and no tension to cut with a butterknife. All in all - :)

I know it doesn't sound like it at the top, but, THANK YOU for this story!

:)

Erm.. is this posted to anywhere else? 'Cause there seems to be something missing from the end, since it cuts off rather abruptly (in the middle of a sentence).

I've been slowly dying for a day, since I couldn't finish this immediately, and would now DEARLY want to find the missing last words? sentences? chapters??? Thank you so much (if anyone reads this :)

Mai

p.s. This is BY FAR the best Snarry I've ever read (and no, I'm not exaggerating)

So I'm clearing my inbox and I cannot believe that I haven't reviewed this fic yet! Surely it can't be so!

I adored this fic! It was so amazing and touching and I ached for Severus and I was relieved with Harry's decision and did I really not review this before cuz it all feels like deja vu... Maybe I reviewed since page 4? Ah well, no harm in telling you how much I loved this. Thanks for writing and sharing it!

I was up all night as I just couldn't stop reading this. Now I feel sleepy and surreal so I'm sorry if this comment won't make much sense. Still I want to say - thank you so much for writing. It's not the first time your works make me come back to this fandom after a long while. You were one of first writers to become my favourite when I started reading fanfiction, and after all this time, you still are.
Not to mention you make me open poetry books much more often.
Thank you!

Okay, wow. Just...wow. I don't, as a rule, care for HP fanfic, and I just don't get the Harry/Severus pairing. It just doesn't appeal to me (although I have of course read the books). I'm not sure why I started reading this (I clicked over from the link on [info]amplificathon for the podfic).

But once I started reading, I couldn't stop. And the story is fantastic and beautifully written, and I was sitting here reading with my heart in my throat out of fear that it wouldn't have a happy ending (and I'm such a sucker for a happy ending).

I came here via audiofic

I feel just like Harry does at the beginning of your story, wondering where to begin. I have a really long commute to work and a friend suggested I get some fanfics off of audiofic to make the drive tolerable. Someone, actually on 4chan /y/, recommended Rapture to me. I was expecting a emo romp into Snarry - something that I always enjoy. But I got so much more. I sat in my car in my office parking lot on more than one morning watching the clock tick - 2minutes late, 3 minutes late, 5 minutes late. I couldn't stop listening. I found myself sneaking in a few minutes at lunch and leaving a little early just so I could listen to more. I cried, I laughed, I sat slack jawed, breathing heavy, in my car feeling my pants become increasingly uncomfortable while my coworkers walked by wondering if I was alright. This was so beautifully written. I think the beauty was magnified by how well it slipped into cannon. Now when I watch one of the movies or I read HP book my mind will go back to your story and it will give me even more heartache for Snape's character (as if we need more - right?). Thank you so much for putting these words out there - I know what a labor of love something of this magnitude is. Thank you, thank you, thank you. <3 Kat

I just finished reading this fic and I have to admit that at first I wasn't sure if I'd like it since there's time traveling and I'm always rather wary of that.

BUT you write incredibly beautiful. I was entranced by the plot and your writing, many beautiful phrases and the ending. I was hoping it wouldn't end tragically with Severus still being dead and Harry moruning.

Snape is perfectly in character in my opinion and I like that you managed to come up with a solution that would work with the epilogue. I'm not the biggest fan of JKR's 19 years later but it has its moments and it is part of canon - if we like it or not :) I always admire people who manage to make their fics fit so perfectly into book!canon.

The beginning seems so simple, now. The beginning could be anywhere - could be the locking of eyes across a hall full of first years, could be a rainy night in a pub playing Christmas carols, could be a single mother on a train from Manchester to London, writing fine lines of desire between two people she has not met, drawing green eyes and hooked noses and "Look... at... me... (look at me, damn you, let me have this, just this -")

This made it even more beautiful.

I will be thinking about this story for a while, I just know it. It rarely happens that any story (be it book, movie or fanfic) hast the power to keep my mind occupied for days after finishing it but I KNOW your story will stay in my head for a while.

So, I thank you for creating it and putting it out there. I will definitely look through your other work, too.

Thank you.

That was beautiful, so beautiful. This line: "Severus' heart lurches in his chest as if it would take off, would attempt a short and hopeless flight." has haunted me for days. You are an artist.

This was simply beautiful. I don't think there is any other word that can sum up what this was. Heartbreakingly, sadly, accurately, sexy, honestly beautiful. You captured each character perfectly.

So glad I read this.
