When Steve had reached out for some assistance in new clothes, Jan was beside herself. She hadn't been able to see her friend as much as she would have liked when he had first appeared and she began to wonder if she was working too much. Me? Working too much? She paused in gathering up a few items, thinking hard. Naaaah. She made a face and shook her head; just as quickly as the thought had come into her head, it left. Jan always made time for her friends, she and Steve had just been busy, that's all! Look, they were hanging out now! She continued moving around the shop, picking up various shirts, pants, and accessories to share with him when he came in. He had taught her to be prepared at all times and she wasn't about to disappoint him on such an important mission!
When the door opened, Jan didn't pause in flitting around the store. Her eyes glanced over to make sure it was him and she grinned. "Be there in two shakes!" She grabbed the last two pieces she had in mind before tossing them on the counter and turned abruptly to make a run at Steve. She threw herself into his arms for a hug, giving him an extra squeeze for not seeing him as often as she would have liked (or should have). "I can't wait to show you what I've put together!" She beamed up at him, stepping back to give him a little space. "You know what you're getting into, right?" She raised an eyebrow at him, but the smile on her face was genuine. She knew fashion wasn't everyone's cup of tea (a concept she understood, but didn't at the same time), so she wanted to make this as fun as possible for him. "I pulled a couple of different looks, but was there anything in particular you were looking for?" She waved him in to show the different pieces she had picked up, moving back towards the counter to organize all the clothes she had tossed on it; the pile was fairly large.
"Can I get you anything? Water? I could run next door for some coffee?"
