Steve wasn't sure what to expect when Jan told him to meet her at the shop. Sure, he expected clothes, but considering the limited amount of resources at their disposal. He also expected fairly basic things, too. After all, it's not like there were exotic fabrics readily available. When he entered the the shop, it was quite spare. He wasn't terribly surprised. The longest someone had been in the village was a couple of months. He surprised, though, she had acquired what she had. He was proud of her, though, for her determination.
He'd felt her long before he heard her. He chuckled as he felt her give him a tight squeeze, and so, in return, he squeezed her back and kissed her on the side of the head. She was a good egg. He blinked, though, at her question. "Uh, I just." He scratched the back of his head. "I just wanted some shirts and some pants." He wasn't sure what she was talking about these "looks". He supposed, though, he should at least give Jan the benefit of the doubt. Though, clearly he wore a dubious look on his face. "What do you got?"
At the offer, he considered and said: "Water is good."
