Who: Carol Danvers and Natasha Romanoff
What: Friendly dropkicking, probably
When: Daytime, sunlight, no one's brooding
Where: Near the lake.
Rating: Moderate, punching, swearing, etceteraing.
The Doors were something Natasha was mildly anxious about the prospect of exploring; not anxious-anxious, she hadn't entirely lost her nerve or drive, but there was something about the idea of actually stepping through them that made her feel, a little bit, like she'd be kicking a gift horse in the mouth right now. Like it would constitute ingratitude, almost, taking a risk when she didn't have to and when things were still trying to settle with the people she held nearest and dearest. Still - she'd gone back to look at them, at least once without Tony, and when she'd peered through a few days back, it had appeared to be a Borders bookstore. Which was a chain that had been defunct for while in her own time, but still, there it was, and there had been a table of books within easy reach, that wouldn't require putting her actual body all the way through.
She'd snatched one off the table on impulse instead of exploring it further, and now was the proud owner of a copy of... Erotic Tales of Vampirca: The Bloodsucking Seductress. Because who wouldn't love badly written remaindered vampire porn where every other word on the page was succulent, and not in reference to a cactus? That would probably teach her a lesson for the future, about missing an opportunity to actually shop around a little for something worth scavenging.
Still: a book was a book. The day was warm and sunny, and there was no way she had to spend it. It wouldn't be a bad thing to get used to enjoying the free time, to do something as simple as read for pleasure in the sunshine, and so after lunch, Natasha had wandered down to the lake with her book in hand, gotten herself comfortable near the water, and cracked it open. Vampirica, clearly, was a very busy lady.
