She grinned; she couldn't have done anything else, not when Carol had just rolled along with it. It felt familiar, what she remembered from the times Carol had been able to swing by earth and hang out for awhile before jetting off to hold the rest of the galaxy together on the strength of her own back. Building something from the ground up with this Carol - there were still things to be navigated around, of course, she still tried to be mindful about being overly familiar sometimes, but this was the easy kind of work. Enjoyable, even, because somewhere between the Lemerian Star and Sokovia, Natasha had become a person who'd learned how to make friends instead of just accidentally collecting them.
"Kind of. I mostly just - peeked through it and reached in with one hand. No full body immersion. Vampirica would be disappointed." It made her mouth pull to one side, a little; it was understandable. Her hesitation, of course it was understandable, and testing it out had been more to prove something to herself than anything else. That she wasn't entirely someone new on the other side of arriving in Starklandia, that however she'd softened up around the edges, whatever her core was made of was still iron. Natasha had been a lot of things over the course of her life, but a coward had never really been one of them.
It probably wasn't fair to think of it as cowardice. Caution was a different animal, but still, it wasn't like she'd ever been blessed with an abundance of that, either. Though maybe she was just doing what Carol had suggested: being a little too hard on herself. "How's the run? You look - I don't know, full of endorphins?"
