WHO: Leia Organa & Obi-Wan Kenobi
WHAT: Meeting up for chats, helping Leia adjust and maybe even Skywalker family feels? We’ll see.
WHERE: COFFEE
WHEN: Shortly after Leia’s arrival.
RATING: G - Good for all!
It certainly hadn’t been the day Leia expected. Not that she couldn’t handle the unexpected, that went hand in hand with war.
That being said Leia felt it wasn’t entirely unreasonable to have at the very least expected the Falcon, and everyone on it wasn’t about to quite literally disappear around her and leave her in an unknown location. From the likes of it, she wasn’t alone, figuratively, or literally, but her future was now uncertain, and her role in ensuring peace throughout the Galaxy seemed devastatingly distant.
But she wouldn’t dwell on it, she would just continue to look for way home - and for how, steal herself for a meeting that was far more delayed than it should be, and for Leia held a lot more than she quite knew how to process.
General Obi-Wan Kenobi had been a regular feature of the stories Leia had demanded her father tell her as a child, of the Clone Wars; dashing Jedi Knights and noble battles. Of course, war brought loss, and fear, as an adult and as a leader of the Rebellion she now looked upon it differently. Even so, the name was legend to her, and her Father’s fondness and regard for the General shone through whenever he spoke of him.
So when Bail Organa had given her the task for finding Obi-Wan Kenobi, after years in exile she had been so proud to accept the mission, and take on the responsibility she yearned for. But her mission failed and Alderaan became the target of the Empire’s most ruthless war crime.
That was not a responsibility she’d ever wanted and the wrenching guilt she felt still stat deep within her chest, even as the years had passed and the Rebellion gained ground, such peace for the Galaxy now seemed a near certainty.
But the chance to now met General Kenobi would be a bittersweet way to meet a man she’d always admired, and to spend time with someone so important to her father’s life. The closest thing she’d get to seeing him again. She’d taken a moment to gather herself before she’d walked quickly though the town, spotting the location Obi-Wan had suggested they meet, dark hazel eyes glancing about the room with reserved, but curious expression.
