Leia thought about it - Luke had wasted no time in trying to talk to her about growing stronger in the Force, and what he might wish to help her with. He had suggested that she, like he did should consider training in the ways of the Jedi - he didn’t know a great deal, but he would pass on what he did, and try to learn more.
She had told him, for now the Rebellion was her focus, as would be the New Republic, in time. Leia continued to doubt his assurance of her power, even if they were twins.
“No- you musn’t apologise General.” Leia soothed, her voice warm and sympathetic “You lost those you loved- war or not. Nothing makes it any easier.” Something she too has certainly felt the sting of. If nothing else, the way he spoke of Padme had sparked something in Leia, a beginning to want to know more and perhaps not dismiss some of what she might have inherited.
“They tried to erase it. But that never did stop my curiosity of the Jedi.” Of course, her father’s stories had centred around General Kenobi, when she could coax them from him, however reluctantly.
“I- I don’t know.” Leia almost blurted out a little, apprehensive. She had seen what Luke was capable of - perhaps she’d felt and sensed things she couldn’t ever explain, but was that really it? “How can you be so sure?”
