Who: Peter B Parker and Clark Kent
What: What's that there in the sky?
When: Sunday
Where: Above town
Peter was on the look out for a new phone, if they were going to make a new spider-drone then they were going to need some parts for it, or that's what he assumed Tony was going to do with it. It seemed reasonable, it was probably how he'd do it. If he needed a goober here it's what he'd do - so you know this was pretty much the same thing just a little... you know, different.
But as with anything about this place it all proved to be a little more complicated than that, because you never could just leave the relative safety of the little home you'd chosen and just wander around without something strange happening - maybe Peter was being unfair, New York could be like that too - it was why he had worn the suit under his clothes for so long. He'd kind of given up the spandex here though, most everyone knew who he was, so it was a little moot. And it wasn't like these houses came equipped with baby powder so really the clothes he'd gotten since arriving were for the best.
It was just there was something in the sky, his spider senses tingled and made him look up - it made Peter frown as he caught sight of it, not a bird - well maybe a bird, but it was falling. And well - it was getting closer and if it was a bird that was one big bird. He pulled himself up to the top of one of the houses hoping maybe it would change his perspective, only it just served to assure him that this was a man and not a bird and that was just... yeah. Of course it was a man. A man rapidly falling toward the ground and it did not seem like he was going to stop any time soon.
"Uh, well. I guess we're improvising." He said to himself, it wasn't like this place was populated with sky scrappers that would let him get high enough to stop him sooner, but he could do something to keep him from hitting the ground.
Peter began to weave webs back and forth between a couple of buildings after he'd figured out where he was heading, or at least near enough. Sure no one wanted to end up tangled in a web, but it was better than going splat and he waited, it felt like ages but was surely only a matter of moments. And he was right there, so that when the body hit the webs he was able to catch him again with a few more to keep him from falling through. Not the most elegant solution, but the best he had on the fly.
