Clark tilted his head in confusion when Peter admitted to not knowing who he was. That was new. He quirked a brow in interesting, but definitely not in a Don't You Know Who I Am? sort of way. That wasn't Clark. It had been a while since he'd met someone from Earth who didn't know who he was. For a long time, he was the only alien on the planet Earth. Or, at the very least, the only out alien who was flying around trying to help the world in overt ways. Still, this was interesting.
This meant, of course, he was either a) in the past, b) on another planet, or c) some place else entirely. Neither of these were happy possibilities. "Nice to meet you, Peter," he said finally as he gave the older man a firm handshake and flashed him that warm farm boy smile. "I'm from all over, but spend most of my time in Metropolis. Everything seems to find its way there eventually." He wished that was an exaggeration.
