Summary: Who is this J. K. Rowling, and how does she know so much about the Order of the Phoenix? When Dumbledore found out that the Muggle author was going to be speaking at a conference in Salem, it gave him and Snape (with Harry, Ron and Hermione along as "decoy minors" - after all the Harry Potter books are supposed to be a series for young adults) the perfect opportunity to meet and interrogate the woman. Unfortunately for Snape, things have gone awry. Harry and Dumbledore are missing, and Salem is crawling with Death Eaters. Apparently Voldemort has become curious about this Rowling woman as well...
Link: http://occlumency.sycophanthex.com/viewstory.php?sid=2419This is a positively delightful story - Severus Snape is
real - and he's in the Muggle World! The story starts with Severus being held in custody of the muggle police, stripped of his wand and being interrogated quite mercilessly by a very astute policeman. Along the way, he samples McDonald's (courtesy of Hermione) , crashes the Harry Potter conference and meets up with a very cool and feisty JKR (yes, really!). If Severus in full spy mode is your cup of tea, you'll be satisfied with the plot of the story as it features his interactions with the DEs who're after JKR as well as an American terror organization who tries to get Severus to ally with them to establish a new world order.
The author pens an intriguing, fast-paced story weaved in with strategic streaks of action and dollops of humor. Severus is wonderfully in character here, and very human in his grief and exhaustion. His dialogue is simply brilliant - look out for his interactions with the -again, I emphasize -
very cool JKR. Cleverly wielded from start to finish, this story is an absolute treasure and deserves to be read, and re-read over and over again.
