Giant Size Hernandez Bros. TWO!
About a year ago, I posted my very first Master Post entry back on scans_daily. It was Giant Size Hernandez Bros. (http://master-post.livejournal.com/652.html#cutid1 ) and it was incedibly fun to do. I was celebrating the release of their latest Love & Rockets volume. Well, the second issue just came out and what can I say? It’s fantastic. I think every time one of these books hits the shelves there should be a parade or some sort of citywide festival. It’s no less than what the Bros.deserve, right? I’m only one person, though, and this Master Post is my humble contribution. HINT: it's got tons of superheroes.

This is a huge post so I’ll keep my dumb mouth shut for the most part. Like last time, I appreciate the present by looking back into some lesser seen gems of the past.

Brainiac 5 and Clark

Waaay back in 2006, when the Legion of Super Heroes cartoon first aired, an s_d 1.0 member thought that Bouncing Boy would be the Legionnaire who'd be subtext-y for Supes.

Then the episode "Legacy" happened. Hindsight, as they say, is 20/20.

'Training purposes,' dammit! ) ETA: Goddammit Photobucket just reduced their bandwidth limit from 25 GB to 10 GB. Yet they still sent me an email saying I'd exceeded the "25 GB" limit...

A Kinder Fanboy- M'rissy
In the final months of the threeboot book the Legion was joined by the young M'rissy. At the time I thought it was obviously how Shooter saw himself in his early years writing the Legion but went on to discover the name M'rissy is actually referring to a fan of the Legion who had since died, Rich Morrissey. (His writings about Coluan Lifespans, from the Legion Fanzine 'legion outpost' is available in 'the best of the Legion outpost' on amazon)

Why the Legion weren't dicks ALL the time to new recruits...
After the recent example of Legiondickery here, I though we should see a slightly better example of a Legion Recruitment drive....
