04:46 am [peur_evol] [Link]	AMERICA'S SWEETHEART America's love affair with Patsy Walker lasted over twenty years.From her first appearance in 1944 until her last in 1967, she maintained at least a moderate degree of popularity (enough to carry three titles simultaneously at one point). The earliest stories, like this, show the series fully realized from the start; no slapstick or forced gags, just simple homespun comedy with the accent on characterization. This is her fourth appearance, from MISS AMERICA #5, February 1945, which is accredited to Ken Bald(?) and Dan Barry(?). But none of the resources I've consulted seems to be sure. Announced in today's My Cup O' Joe Myspace blog where Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning filled in for Quesada An all new limited series called Marvel Divas starting in July from Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Tonci Zonjicy. It will feature Blackcat, Photon, Hellcat and Firestar.
