Kory, Raven, Dick, and not too much clothing
From the New Teen Titans #39, January 1988 - my formative comics years - comes some fun Edwardo Barretto art.

Oh yes, and there's a story too - Raven is able to feel emotions, falls for Dick Grayson, and seems to be trying to make him fall in love with her as well. Kory provides some emotional counselling in Tahiti for her, and while they're away, Dick moves in with Kory. Various relationship talks are had while lying around not fully dressed.

We start the comic with:

Dick! Dick! Dick! Dick! ...

I did mention not many clothes, right?

"Love should be between two people." - Dick Grayson, 1988

In the interests of space, removed a few pages showing Raven happily making people happy, and Kory requesting to talk to Raven. They teleport to Tahiti...

In the rest of the issue, Raven goes to a party held by other Titans (I do believe Terry Long is there), and Kory and Dick discuss how her marriage with Karras is really just a peace treaty.

Sigh - I miss Kory and Dick as a couple... They just always made sense to me.

Ooh, seriously? (I'm guessing an electric typewriter's the same sort of thing as the old hardware word processors.)

Did that come before this era or later?

An electric typewriter worked much the same way as a manual typewriter, using electrical power rather than finger and arm power to move the keys and the platen. No text storage except on the hard copy itself.

This comic was on the stands in late 1987, and by that time American offices and some writers had PCs. (I bought my first a couple of years before, spending extra bucks for 256K of RAM.) Dick is apparently still fond of the older technology for whatever he had to type.

I gave up my electric typewriter about the time I gave up comics, with the Wolfman/Pérez Teen Titans books being the last to go. That means that Titans and typewriters are filed in the back of my brain in the same place as early MTV videos.

I have an electric typewriter in my office for doing labels. But mostly because nothing beats the satisfying feeling of punching the keys on that IBM selectrix!
