Given the reaction to my post from yesterday, here are some more scenes from Ruins. Each issue was about forty pages. I personally don't understand the plot besides "What would happen if the Marvel universe went horribly wrong", but here are some of the more bizarre scenes with some of Marvel's iconic heroes.

I'd imagine that's what Ellis was aiming for, in a way. From the scans posted it looks like an attack on the "grim and realistic" movement rather than an endorsement. By taking it to its extreme it feels like he's asking people if this really what they want from their superhero comics. But then I haven't read the whole thing so I really couldn't say if that was his true intention.

I recall him mentioning when I posted a lot of this on the old S_D is that apparently a lot of people don't realize it's meant to be funny.
