The speed dating event will be next Wednesday evening, and I wanted to do a bit of planning / plotting beforehand. Below is the list of who's attending so far. There will be NPC students participating too, at this point, I'd guess we might have about forty participants total. If you haven't signed your characters up yet and want to, you can reply here or to Adrian's post.
Attending: Adina (m), Alicia, Ben (f, m), Bushara (f, m), Claire (m),Cori (m), Craig (f, m), Davian (f, m), Jae, Jasper (f), Kana (m), Lillie (m), Mickey (f, m), Paxton (f, m), Sara (m), Thierry(f), Valentin (m)
The participants would have filled out a short survey first with their name, age, house and grade, contact information, and if they're interested in dates with girls, boys, or both. Dates will be arranged by their preferences. They will have between fifteen and thirty dates, depending on their preferences. The five-minute dates will take place at small tables for two placed all around the room. They'll have drinks, snacks, and desserts at the tables, a small table centerpiece of flowers and a tiny lit candle, and there will be music playing. For the speed dating thread, I'll post a general thread and leave it open to subthreading for the dates. This could be a fun way to have your character spend time with people they ordinarilly wouldn't meet. They could have potential love connections, or maybe have dates that are funny or awkward or even quite terrible! Please feel free to plot and decide who you might want to thread with here in the comments. To ease in the plotting, please also make mention of their dating preferences below too and I'll update the participant list with that info. I'll wait to hear from you, I don't want to assume. :-)
Also, there will be raffles that night. Each participant automatically gets entered,but can buy more chances, a dollar a ticket or six tickets for five dollars. I'll have Adrian post about the prizes soon, but most will be date related (dinner for two at Montrose, tickets for the theater in town, horseback riding on the beach, movie night gift basket (dvds, popcorn, candy), etc.). That night, I'll randomly asssign winners to the prizes and have them picked in a subthread.
