Information & Important Dates

Fall Break:
Starting Monday, November 20, classes will be dismissed and will not resume until the following Monday, November 27.

During this time, for students who remain on campus, the school offers a feast! The dining hall will be in business for most of Thanksgiving Day (Thursday) with all kinds of different foods. Students are more than welcome to contribute their own dish for the feast.

Since most of the students (and the Academy itself) are international and are probably unfamiliar with US Thanksgiving, the teachers who know what's up will be more than happy to share what it's all about if anyone has any questions.

First Snow:
Last night, Camden and surrounding areas got their first snow! The area got dumped on over night and there's about a foot of snow to play with. The Groundskeeper appreciates any help in clearing the pathways to and from the dorms and the castle areas.

Winter Recital:
The band, choir, and dance classes will be having their winter recital on Friday, December 8th. Everyone is welcomed to attend, including parents/guardians if they can make it, and many of the Camden residents come to watch as well.

Winter Break
The students (and we the players) get two full weeks of winter break starting with early dismissal on Weds, December 20, and classes will remain dismissed from Thu, December 21 – Wed, January 3, 2018.

That's all for now! Carry on.

Thanksgiving Break & Student Body Pres

Thanksgiving Break
You'd think we'd be used to this with it being our third Thanksgiving since the game started, but every year we forget what we did the previous year for the holiday. And so, we're going to establish it henceforth!

Because it is a rather large and unavoidable family centered holiday in the US, the school will be closed for a couple days in order for students to go be with their home crew for a quick break before the full winter break comes closer to Christmas time. Classes this coming week will continue Monday and Tuesday, and then students will be released from Nov. 25 - Nov. 29. (important: the full moon nights this month are the 24, 25, and 26.)

Students who stay at the school will be given a feast, of course! The dining hall will be in business for most of Thanksgiving Day with all kinds of different foods. Since most of the students (and the Academy itself) are international and are probably unfamiliar with Thanksgiving, the teachers who know what's up will be more than happy to share what it's all about in their classes if anyone has any questions.

Student Body Presidency
This is a thing we've been meaning to do for a while, but have yet to really have any students be proactive about campaigning for office - probably due to the fact that there are no established guidelines to go by, eep! What do you guys think about running a quick elections for this current school year, and then kicking it in at the beginning of the next school year and so on?

I think that covers everything! If you have any questions, ask away!

Cheers!
