[The arena is dim today, the light of the torches giving way to a shimmering sort of half-light as one approaches. The ambiance is more that of twilight than dawn, and it flatters the smiles on the statue of the Twins high above. Tiny white lights flicker and disappear in the air, swaying and dancing like fireflies, but to any who examine them closely, they seem to lack substance.]

[What stands in the rest of the arena, however, remains a mystery- for towering to an improbable height near the foot of the stairs is a gate of ornate iron scrollwork, and the wall attached encircles the arena, blocking off the space closest to the statue. Lanterns of colored paper and whimsical metal shapes have been hung from the top of it, adding a splash of color- here Cepheus purple, there Hydra green, and all the teams represented in their turn. From above the gates, there rings out a voice that is pleasant and more than a little amused.]

. . . There was a game a while back where we had to choose someone from another team to maim. Someone specific. And Corvus . . . fucking chose Simba. So we didn't want them around him anymore. It could've been—

Simba's pissed off over it. He won't even try to listen to a fucking thing we say. All he cares about is that it turned out to just be some fucking fingers. He won't listen when I tell him how bad it could've been! Corvus didn't know, but they fucking chose him out of all of us anyway!

Well, I hate to say it, but maybe it's time for him to learn to be responsible for what he does with himself.

As for your relationship... well, I don't really blame you for being wary of Corvus for choosing Simba. But what everyone is guilty of changes all the time. Viewing each other as monsters is one way to look at it, but it doesn't get you further than... well, here.

	Because we were friends with them before they fucked things up and he's the kind of guy who'll never change his mind. He doesn't care that the rest of Hydra is pissed off over what they did because [shifting into a mocking, feminine tone] Corvus was only trying to choose someone who'd understand.
