[16 Aug 2008|12:24am] mythos As gods and goddesses started to be called things of myth, it was obvious there was a difficult choice to face. With little option, they decided to join the humans to avoid becoming a just mere memory. Demi-gods, divine heroes, nymphs, creatures, great mythological human figures, beasts and objects alike from a variety of cultures joined the gods and goddesses in letting go of their standing to be reincarnated as mortals. Along with their past personalities, the human forms were granted with a single power as reminder of who they once were. Myths, subconsciously drawn to other bodies of myths over the years, have migrated to Peachtree City, GA. The game holds a good collection of Greek myths already, but some great characters like Apollo, Aristotle, Athena, Enyo, Eros, Harmonia, Hera, Hephaestus, Hypnos, and Zeus are still open. [16 Aug 2008|06:26pm] GAME × OOC × MOD PLOT × RULES × APPLICATION AVAILABLE × FAQS × PBs CONTACTS × FRIENDS × BACK COMM IN THE 1970s, the wizarding world saw the rise of Lord Voldemort, fearsome leader of the movement to eradicate muggles and muggle-borns from the world. The first five years of Voldemort's active stage were relatively quiet though. Very few actually knew an uprising of the purist movement was coming soon - and in the most extreme of ways. Towards the middle of the decade, he and his Death Eaters came more into the forefront, staging attacks on the muggle and wizarding worlds alike. No witch or wizard could believe what was happening. Not since the time of Grindelwald had such havoc been wrought on their world, let alone to the muggles as well. However, life goes on. People get married, have children, continue living their lives, even with the constant threat over their heads. Students continue to attend Hogwarts and learn, fight, and fall in love. The fifth years prepare for their O.W.L.s. As they hurdle toward their exams, stress, along with the sparks of conflicting ideas, put strains on students and the relationships they hold, particularly one of Lily Evans and Severus Snape. The pinnacle moment of the breaking of their friendship was talked about for months afterwards. Severus Snape called his best friend a Mudblood in a moment of humilation and anger, causing the demise of their friendship, and putting into motion the events and actions that would eventually lead to the death of Lily and James Potter and baby Harry Potter destroying Voldemort the first time. But... what if it had not happened? What if James had not approached Severus and found something else to direct his attention towards? Would things have been different? Could it have changed the course of history or would Lily and James marry still and have the saviour of the wizarding world? Only time can tell. Death Eaters are infiltrating Hogwarts by recruiting students within, student's families are being torn apart, and the world is spiraling into a war based on bloodlines. Through all of this, how will Hogwarts students lead their lives? Where will their loyalties fall as they are forced to choose between joining Voldemort or defying him? NO SUCH PLACE: An Original Fantasy RPG [16 Aug 2008|09:54pm] “ . . . All that was left in Pandora's box was hope.” During the 21st century, a global pandemic swept over the world. They dubbed it the “Pandora Virus,” calling it PV for short, because of its devastating nature. The virus tore through the world’s population, killing almost one-third of humanity in its first month alone. Countries everywhere grew panicked, believing it to be a work of biological terrorism. Nation stood against nation, and a worldwide war began. Much of earth was laid to waste within just a handful of months by the combined effects of nuclear war and the Pandora Virus. Survivors immune to the virus found the world uninhabitable, and many of them perished due to radiation poisoning or famine. There were others, though. Others who inhabited this planet along with human beings, but they had been in hiding for many centuries. Praeternaturals. Legendary beings and creatures believed to be nothing more than myth. All of them were also biologically immune to the Pandora Virus. With the foresight of the oracle named Euryale, groups of praeternaturals learned of what was to come and prepared for the preordained onslaught. They built safe havens in hidden areas across the world protected heavily by magic and often shielded by mountains or large bodies of water. Taking in as many humans and praeternaturals alike as they could before the war, these communities provided a stable living environment for the survival of all species. One such safe haven is an ancient land once inhabited by elves that was abandoned by them long ago. It has been renovated into a sanctuary and renamed to Elysium. Located in the modern-day Republic of Macedonia near Lake Ohrid, it was once a part of Greece. Now, it is a part of the process to one day rebuild the world. Game Objective. No Such Place is an action-oriented drama catering to various genres. Though the setting is fantasy, this is merely to incorporate more aspects of game play and further possibilities beyond the realm of the real world. Whether you prefer action, drama, romance, or horror — this game allows you to play all and pick your favorite to explore. Hexennacht is an alternate universe MWPP game set in 1985; a world where Gellert Grindelwald is now the Minister of Magic for all of Europe, and Muggleborn wizards live in fear of the Black Caps, Grindelwald's personal army, charged with keeping the Muggles and wizards alike in line. Hexennacht begins with the latest decree restricting magic allowed by Muggleborn wizards to the simplest forms of magic, while the purebloods are allowed to get away with murder. With the Death Eaters on the run, Voldemort in Azkaban with no hope of getting out, and the Order in hiding, along with the remains of their single ally, a former terrorist organization, is there any hope of restoring Europe to a land of tolerance?
